Vhs

I still tape stuff which I'm not able to watch "live" from TV and watch them later from VHS. And I still own lots of them. Never gonna throw them away.

Now mods, I wouldn't be too quick to ban this person as it's obvious he has Tourette's and other mental problems. :csad:

That could've exacerbated it.
Is anyone assembling any model airplanes nearby, in a small room with closed windows, as well? :concern:

i LOVE this thread! It has given me reason to live after a boring meeting at work this afternoon!

I hate how mods follow certain people around, just waiting for them to do something wrong.

If I bypassed the censors and spelled out the entire F word like he did up there, *B00m*, I'd be gone in 2 heartbeats of a mouse.:o

I've got a HUGE VHS collection at my parents' house, but I never go home nor do I watch VHS movies any more.

Last spring I watched Batman Forever on VHS "just to see if it was really as bad as I remembered". And I have this to say...

"Batman Forever is fine cinema as VHS is to digital entertainment." - Quote me on that.

Another movie I attempted to watch was 'Eraser'. But I was bummed to learn it wouldn't play without a high-pitched squeal from the tape, accompanied by lines across the top of the screen.

**And the Prognosticator never did watch Eraser**

But I'll say VHS has ONE nostalgic value going for it: It's GREAT for those classic horror movies that either NEVER made it to DVD or appear even SCARIER because of the backwooded effects of low-grade VHS!

That's because you're an Anarchist!

Vhs is cool in regard to suicide tools. I've thought about this. You can bash yourself in the head with the big bulky cassette until you reach your brains, or pass out and bleed to death. Or you can choke yourself with the yards and yards of tape, or even hang yourself with it if you're handy with such. Or you can break the clear plastic on the top and try to slit something with it. I am sure there are even more ways to snuff yourself with VHS, as handy as it has proven beyond being an inferior, poor quality video format. VHS - Very Handy Suicide.

How does VHS kick ass? Its too big, bulky, loses quality and comes closer to breaking with every viewing, can be erased with a magnet, has crap quality sound and video, and so on, is linear, and you have to rewind it. Plus no extras unless you count coming attractions.

Because the only way to properly enjoy a movie is to treat it like those choose-your-own-adventure books

penis is not a curse word.
It's a body part.
That's why you don't have to space it out.

Or if you've seen the movie enough and want to skip to your favorite part, or to show a certain scene to a friend. Just like skipping to your favorite music track on a CD as opposed to having to fast forward (and thus further and more quickly deteroriating the tape element) to get there.

Ahhh, technology...

I have a ****load of movies on VHS. And now I have a ****load of DVDs. I'm fine with both. I only bought a couple of really important movies I already had on VHS for DVD, or in DVD box sets.

I never really watch the videos anymore, though.

I have loads of VHS, more than DVDs by far, I watch a VHS every night on my video TV while im going to sleep.

Aside from porn, when I watch a movie, I watch the entire thing.

There are only 3 movies that I own on VHS because they have not been released on DVD yet.
1. Monster Sqaud
2. Airborne
3. Godzilla 1985

face!

Airborne needs to be released on DVD. It has to happen.
