Sequels Villain Predictions....

the spidey 4 villain is rumored to be Lizard... for those who know me on the boards, saw how i predicted and was correct about harry and venoms costume (minus harry having a hood which got removed in the final design). Well i got this from a different friend (though still a credible one). Who's boss told him that sony has already started developing computer work for lizard, to test it out. take this rumor as a grain of salt though, I believe it to be true, but that doesnt mean Lizard will make the final cut, it's WAY too early

I know you're telling the truth, I was shocked that you were right about the costumes last year. I think Lizard will make the final cut anyway. Thanks.

I think Lizard (even before spideyboy's hint) was already pretty much official. I mean, every producer has mentioned him and Raimi said Baker needed to be rewarded, so there you go. I highly doubt he gets cut out this time.

What I am more interested in is if there will be a 2nd villain (which I predict there will) and who will he be.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a second villain too... But I don't want anyone to be cut out in screen time, would 2 villains be the right choice?

I think 2 villains can work, definately. They just can't try the SM3 formula again.

I predict right here that its Lizard and Kraven. Curtis has expressed interest in Kraven as well and c'mon these 2 mesh easily together than most other villain combinations.

They would have to be purposly trying to **** this up to ruin this opportunity.

Plot points are being closely guarded by the studio, though the intent is to scale back the story to include only two villains instead of repeating the "Spider-Man 3" model.

I am still not convinced Kraven is villain #2, nor will I expect it. It will only make people angry when he is not villain #2.

I am betting on Electro as being more likely.

I believe you because I remember you were correct about Harry's and venom's costumes. I still think the Lizard will be in Spidey4, so this has my hopes up even more.

Personally, I'd just be happy if the villain was simply just the lizard by himself but if there is another villain, Kraven is the best choice to go for. There are far too many awesome themes these 2 villains can bring to the table that can separate this movie from the first 3, whilst at the same time, setting a new standard of better story telling. I'd love to see Kraven's obsession in proving his nobility and honour and seeing a scary-ass lizard caught up in the mix. This'll be great to have new victims such as Connors' wife and son as opposed to MJ being in trouble yet again. If this movie wants to remain credible, they'd have the balls to this.

I just think everyone is setting themselves up to be disappointed by saying Kraven and The Lizard is the only pair SM4 can have, and not suck. I doubt Kraven is going to be used (but would be pleasantly surprised if he was).

So many set themselves up for disappointment with SM3, and I would think you all would have learned by now not to expect the movie you would have made, and to objectively view the movie they made.

Cause Kraven is not visually strong, and Electro is a character like Sandman with a clean slate that they can manipulate. While Kraven I see as a much stronger character than Electro, he has just strength and agility powers which the Lizard provides already (just better in every way). Electro gives them something else to showcase in the movie.

I would prefer Kraven (story>flashy anytime), but I don't see him as being as likely for these reasons. Plus, they did that Kraven and Lizard angle we have been discussing in the SM3 game.

True. I don't expect any villain announcements for quite a while, so we we have our hope until that day comes.

I'd like to see his passion for hunting spidey and the lizard with connors' family in the cross hairs. I'd love to see the lizard in all his savage glory and kraven with his potion-drinking brute strength and agility. The fights and visuals will be even, complimenting what the story is conveying.
As for electro, they're going to have to come up with a banging' story to pull him off perfectly because like I said, he's a cliched supervillain and we've already got dr electricity in the f4 movies.

I think Kraven would be a smart financial move. They would still get the huge Spider-Man box office numbers, but they'd spend a LOT less money than they did with Spider-Man 3.

Your preaching to the choir on this one. Kraven and the Lizard is my favorite possible pair they can go with. I am just not convinced they will use him.

But, I was also quite certain Venom would not be in SM3 and look how that turned out.

I think they could do a lot more with Electro than Story did with Doom in the F4 movies, though. Electro could look really cool on screen, and he has lot of visual potential.

My heirarchy for villain #2 in SM4 (Lizard is #1 for villain period) is:

1- Kraven
2- Electro (works well as a #2)

These are the main two I feel would work in SM4. I don't want Carnage at all, and I think a guy like Mysterio is a great choice for main villain in future movies.

Normally I'd agree, but Vanderbilt was apparently hired because his ideas were driven by characters, not SFX. And to me, that sounds a lot more like Kraven than Electro.

That could also mean more emphasis on character than SFX, but still using SFX based guys like Electro.

Like I said, I don't expect it, so if Kraven happens, I will be very pleasantly surprised.
