I was sad to see it was BriDog72 that slammed into the window on a noose.

Who did you notice?

I knew it was CFB right away, but not that it was Brian. I didn't want to believe that until they said it on the news cast.

A really sad and morbidly rewarding moment for those of us playing along with Sir BriDog.

Pretty sure Dana Worthington was the woman in the croud at Dents conference that kept shaking her head.

I've seen it twice and both times noticed that woman, and no, that is not Dana Worthington. First, she looks nothing liker her. Second, Dana respects and admires Dent, while that woman was obviously a critic and non-believer.

I agree. The Joker DID come through for me after all :woot:

By way of explanation of my happiness over BriDog's demise... It was because he got Glenn killed.

I think the word you're looking for is foolhardy.

He and the rest of CFB are delusional. None of them are prepared or even capable of doing what batman does. This should be obvious to them. It is one thing to express a desire to clean up your neighborhood. But when your first "mission" ends with a woman beating a man with her cain, and another man cutting himself with his own knife, I don't see how the rational conclusion to draw from that is "It's time to move up to the big time." It is clear that Douglass thinks very highly of himself. It wasn't until after he failed at advancing inside the police department that he decided to join the vigilante segment of CFB.

Douglass decided to take on a task he should have known was too big for him and his internet buddies, and it ended up costing the life of a good cop, and someone he called a brother. There is no excusing what he did. He should have known better. And now instead of pulling back after seeing what his little campaign has wrought, he is going to redouble his efforts.

If something bad, maybe even something really nasty were to happen to Douglass in the movie, I wouldn't mind a bit. In fact, I'm really hoping the Joker can come through for me here. I hope he gets creative.

That's right, I'm a little upset over the fictional death of an entirely fictional character that only exists in a viral marketing campaign for a summer blockbuster. 42 played me like a fiddle. Damn they're good.

I agree. Brian had it coming. And he got what he deserved. Not because he got Glenn killed. But because he actually thought that running around in a Batman mask and hockey pads was a good idea.

The Citizens for Batman are just a bunch of lunatics. And I honestly hope we don't see, or hear from them again. Because the film showed them for the complete idiots they all are.

-WsS?

While they're all complete fools, I thought it really added something to the movie

It showed how all the people respected him for what he did, and saw him as a symbol of power and justice, and tried their best to emulate him, even though they did it poorly, and in a way Batman wouldn't condone

Although I'm glad he was killed, and I'm glad that it was the Joker who did it, it was still pretty sickening to see that video. Of course when I say that about the Joker's actions, it's really me saying that he was just ****ing awesome. It wouldn't have hit me so hard without them showing the video. And you know what would have been cool? To see the reactions of the other CFB after their Fearless Leader died. It wouldn't do much in the movie, but I mean on the forums or something.
I need to watch it again and look out for Dana, since this is still being debated. I didn't notice her myself, but I might if I look for her.
Did anyone else feel kind creeped out by the Joker's first version of how he got his scars? For a minute there (because I thought the story was real) I felt so bad for making jokes with the quote "Why So Serious?" or "Let's put a smile on that face!" since it's supposed to be his dad being a total psychopath. I have no problem with it now, knowing it's not true, but damn did I feel weird when I first saw that. Which reminds me, do we know of an established story for the scars from the directors or anything?

^^ I think the whole point is that there is no established story for the scars or for the Joker as a whole. The movie gives no backstory for a reason: The Joker is meant to be seen as a completely chaotic force with no rhyme or reason. If they gave a backstory we might actually feel pity for him, which I actually felt after the story about his father... then when he told the story about his wife I realized the first probably wasn't true, and the pity was gone. We aren't supposed to pity this character, we are supposed to fear him.

I hope they have that annoying Inodogrrl in the film. Because he's just suh a total ******o.

I agree with you that it isn't Dana Worthington, because I thought it was the first time so I checked the second time and it definitely wasn't. BUT, though I think she supports Dent, I'm pretty sure the reason I thought it might be her was because the way she was shaking her head seemed to indicate that she thought it was a shame that people were being so anti-Batman, which makes sense because Dana Worthington said herself that she was for Proposition D and for Batman. I thought that was a weird close-up and the headshake made sense and she does indeed resemble Dana Worthington, but upon a closer examination, it was definitely not her.

I liked the phrase "We're like sitting ducks!" appearing, and of course, all the phone jokes.

Unfortunately, while trying to figure out how to hack into BriDog's GPD webmail, I read the side on the Wiki, so I actually knew that was gonna happen to him. I still gasped, though, because...I dunno, because I was taken by surprise nevertheless.

I liked their calling Dent "Gotham's White Knight," and everything that involved a cell phone was hilarious. I'm pretty sure that the place the Joker first confronts the mobsters is the back of Pasquale's Bistro and likewise, the place that Bruce and his Russian ballerina and Rachel and Harvey have dinner (it looks like it, plus, he says he owns the place--which he kind of does, as it says on that episode of Gotham Tonight).

I REALLY loved how the last Gotham Tonight, the Dent interview, mentioned this week's with Mayor Garcia, and then that was the one at the beginning of TDK. I believe righteous is the word here, although rad may also work. Also, I expected to see more Mike Engel in the movie, so I was kind of surprised and hugely amused (and amazed) that he appeared in the virals more often than in the movie.

Great stuff all around, really.

1. Um...okey-dokie.
2. I actually liked IndigoGrrrl.

I loved buttercookies. He was such a jerk, and yet for some reason, hilarious. I was kind of sad there wasn't more CFB in the movie because it was so important in the game (and also, my friend who came to kickingandscreening with me said she didn't really get the copycat thing), and it would've been kind of awesome to be able to figure out which was which.

I actually kind of feel bad for BriDog, I mean the guy really didn't deserve that.

I lovelovelove(d) Glen to pieces, and Atoz should have realized his attempts at heroics were useless and dangerous, but I think he genuinely believed he was doing the right thing - he really wanted to stand up to corruption and, actually, held up pretty well when he was face to face with Joker.

That being said, I wish Glen had been alive to have a cameo. :(

I don't get all the Bridog hate. Yeah it was stupid he was trying to be like Batman, but he was still at least SUPPORTING Batman.

But I guess it is better he died, because now he'll never have to be disappointed by hero.
