Holy crap, pokemon snap. I forgot about that game, and for that I should be ashamed. It's an awesome game.

Need it on VC for download, now :cmad:

Is that any good?

I have been waiting for some of the good strategy games for the SNES to come out..I wonder if it'll be worth it.

Personally I would love to have Uncharted Waters: New Horizons released...that game was pretty fun.

It's just a matter of time before we get Super Street Fighter II Turbo...and then I'll spend the money on it.

Why buy the lesser versions? :oldrazz:

Apparently the ESRB rated SF2 Turbo and Final Fight for the SNES.

Although both games are cool, I don't think I will get them since I already have SF2 Turbo and the SNES version of Final Fight has Guy and the Industrial Level cut out.

They've also rated:
  • Metroid (NES)
  • SMB 2 (NES)
Take a look at the April Japanese titles that might be heading our way:

Can I get a WOOP WOOP for StarFox 64?

Sigh. If it's one major Nintendo franchise that has so much untapped potential, it's StarFox. Nintendo shouldn't give the reigns to this epic game to less-experienced second parties (as it has been for every entry since StarFox 64). If Nintendo's first-rate team handled a StarFox game, it would be the best,

Galaga NES
Bravoman TG16
Alex Kidd Genesis

I think I will get Bravoman. I have been interested in trying out that game since seeing him in Namco X Capcom, but I will wait a week or two since I need to get more points and I don't feel like buying more just for this game.

I know it wasn't a great game, but didn't Capcom make the last console-based Starfox? Also, you cannot deny that the DS game was good.

I know there really isn't a difference between Mr. Dream and Mike Tyson, but it still sucks that it's Punch Out! Featuring Mr. Dream, instead of Mike Tyson's Punch Out!

Just bought my first VC games, Super Mario Bros., Sonic the Hedgehog, Gunstar Heroes, and Link to the Past.

Yeah, Assault was the last SF game for a console. It was good but too short and lacked the "choose your path" play from 64. SFDS was good but also a bit short.

I really enjoyed the SFDS, but I hope the first entry into the Wii is more on rails like the earlier ones, with some...but fewer open level game worlds. It was just too much on the DS version.

Spidey, were the two SF games worth playing on the cube? Now that I have the Wii, I'm trying to play some of the Cube games I never played since I never owned a GCN.

I never cared for Adventure. It was too much of a Zelda wannabe. Assault is worth picking up. It's only $20, the campaign is rather lengthy. There's maybe 2-3 on rail shooter levels. Most others are all range mode and you can jump in and out of vehicles. The third-person mode where you are Fox has some rough controls but you can get the hang of it.

Where the hell is Vectorman? God I hope Goldeneye makes it too.

WII-KLY UPDATE: THREE NEW CLASSIC GAMES ANNOUNCED FOR WII SHOP CHANNEL

April 30, 2007

Vampires and ninjas and Shockmen, oh my! This week the Wii Shop Channel takes a trip into the world of ghoulish creatures, mystical curses and professorial abductions. See if you can remember which of these games sparked the whip-carrying craze of the late-'80s! For the best retro gaming around, it's time to pay a visit to the red-hot Wii™ video game system's Wii Shop Channel.

The three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the channel every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:

Castlevania® (NES®, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): Step into the shadows of the deadliest dwelling on Earth. You've arrived at Castlevania, and you're here on business: to destroy the curse of the Evil Count, once and for all. Make your way through six monstrous floors filled with bats, ghosts, zombies and every kind of ghoulish creature you can imagine. Use the legendary whip Vampire Killer and a host of deadly weapons to battle your way to Dracula's chamber and the ultimate duel of good vs. evil.

The Legend of the Mystical Ninja™ (Super NES®, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): In The Legend of The Mystical Ninja, take control of Kid Ying and Dr. Yang in an action adventure through feudal Japan. A curse has stricken the village of Horo-Horo, and its beloved princess has vanished. Together Kid Ying, a daring young mystical ninja, and Dr. Yang, master of the invincible spirit transformation, must overcome 10 levels of the Dragonbeast to save Princess Yuki. Each stage contains intense 3-D and 2-D zones where the duo must perform dozens of attack moves and solve magical problems and puzzles before advancing. Battle humorous enemies like the Carp Meister, who stuns victims with poisonous fighting fish, Tanaka-U-Out, a knockout artist who wallops opponents with a bone-crushing hammer, and the Sumo Tag Team, kings of the unbeatable belly-buster crunch. Collect coins to buy new equipment and to receive clues, spend some time playing minigames in the arcade or try your luck and increase your fortune at the Quiz House and Horse Races.

Shockman (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, 600 Wii Points): It's been two years since Arnold and Sonya were made into Shockmen. A message from the professor to return to their bodies has them head to his laboratory, but they are ambushed by a mysterious enemy along the way. After narrowly defeating the enemy, they catch a TV news flash announcing the Ryo Empire invasion. They find that the professor has been abducted and set out to rescue him. Shockman is a side-view action shooter that has eight stages, including Action Stages, where you jump and use special techniques, and side-scrolling Shooting Stages. This game expands on the well-paced story from the previous version and contains cooperative elements like shared life and a powerful Team Shockbeam that can be used during two-player simultaneous play.

Shockman looks pretty interesting, kind of like Megaman. Maybe I will check that out.

Castlevania's available, that's cool, too bad I can't really afford any more virtual console games for awhile.

Mighty Bomb Jack - NES
Final Fight - SNES
Ordyne - TG16

Thats it this week. I haven't heard of Mighty Bomb Jack or Ordyne so if they look good I might try them out.

I am debating whether or not to get Final Fight. The SNES version was not complete, but I would like to get to try and show that there is still interest in the series and to hopefully get Final Fight 2 in the future, which was a pretty good game.

When the hell are they gonna start releasing the really good titles?
