Vixen: The Animated Series - Coming to The CW Seed!

Or Bianca Lawson?

I like her. Though the question is, will she just be a voice?

And it annoys me that the entire season (series?) is only 30mins long. Felicity/Cisco better not take up more then a couple of seconds.

Good casting...

Hopefully she shows up in live action too..

Maybe she'll fall in love with felicity too like every other DC hero. :whatever:

Looks entertaining.

I laughed as soon as Oliver talked.

Looks good. Hoping though that Cisco isn't the one to name her though, he doesn't have to name every superhero who shows up.

Looks good. Hope it opens the door for other characters.
Characters that they can't make work on a tv budget maybe.

I like it. I like it a lot. And I just looked up the voice actress and yup, she looks like she can fill the role in live action conceivably as well. Don't know about any other supporting cast but I'm very curious to see how this experiment turns out. This has the potential to solve the turn around problem regarding the fundamental differences between films/shows and comics themselves. You could more quickly populate the DCTVU with this method than you ever could with live action alone. I'll be following this closely. This on the heels of seeing the latest JL cartoon movie(wonderful, I thought) and I never thought I'd ever say it again but DC is getting more right than wrong right now and it's a welcome sight. That's high praise coming from this old Marvelite.

If this goes beyond the 6 mini episodes, bringing in someone like Animal Man may be good to add to her supporting cast.

He did name her at the end of the trailer. I'm looking forward to checking this out. I wonder if the actress was picked with an eye for a live-action debut?

Seeing that she looks very accurate to the animated version, quite possibly they had an eye on that.

Yeah I know. I was hoping it was just a voice over for the trailer but of course it most likely isn't. They don't have to be so involved in shaping these heroes and villains.

It's a little annoying that it keeps being him who names them but hopefully eventually they'll come up with other ways to get it done as well.

It's pretty simple, "who are you?" "....call me Vixen"

Or have the public name them, reporter, so many other ways.

Keep changing it up though. Having it all one way is lazy and boring.

Is it lazy and boring? Or are we being easily agitated about something that will amount to four seconds of dialogue? Hmmm....

It's lazy and boring. It's sticking with a shtick, and in a way removing a hero's own choice to create an identity by just having a comic relief character suggest it.

I prefer the character to named herself.
That being said I have no problem with Cisco giving Mari her VIXEN name.

I don't think Cisco named her, I think the writers did.

Kind of like GRRM asking how many children Scarlett O'Hara had

I wonder now if it's a tradition? Something that the writers might consider funny or charming, a part of Cisco's character now.

Most likely.

But like someone else said, it's lazy and boring. It also isn't nearly as funny or charming as they think it is.
