Voice in the Wilderness: I LOVED the Last FF book.

That could work. It depends on the mutant, though. I can't see Jubilee putting on the Nova gear....

And taking Rictor outta X-Factor would be a waste.

Yes, Rictor should be left where he is.

If Emoball hadn't become, well...Emoball...it might've been fun to see Rich and Robbie together as Nova Corps.

Well, one can actually stop being emo.

heres a cool scenario. Instead of becoming Penance, Speedball continues to deny any wrong doing, and when Nova come back, he busts him outta jail and makes him a new member......Nah. I still say they should just make up some new characters or use various aliens that haven't been doing anything since Annihilation.

Oh, no doubt the Nova Corps need to be built back up, and not just by a few members here and there. New characters would be great to see. I'm just saying that among the new Novas, I'd like to see Sam or someone already established as a hero/mutant.

How bout Mattie the Spidergirl?

Yeah, Mattie Frank/Spider-Girl (or is it still Spider-Woman III?) is doing fine in THE LONERS right now.

I still think Cannonball hooking up with the Nova Corps is incredibly random. Of course, it would be fair to call some of the new line-ups of, say, New Avengers or Omega Flight "random" and those are working out alright. I do like the idea of some now-powerless mutant, but I doubt it would be Jubilee.

They're more than likely going to stick with space-types or non-Terrans. Which is probably for the best.

Nova giving someone else some power as his first recruit is going to be a learning curve for him. He's occasionally led teams and whatnot before but now he's essentially the #1 Nova Corpsman. Things could go bad a la' ROCKY V or something if he isn't careful about who he chooses.

A heated convo brought to light what it was that had so many hating the version of the Panther as protrayed by Hudlin:

Arrogance.

That's it.

We Brought out "Enemy of the State" and compared Priest to Hudlin.

Everything was the same,.. even the level of Preptime that makes Batman seem like a preschooler in comparison.

Except in how he dealt with others.

Hudlin's Wakandans are more Lippy with their King, and he has to waste more time putting them in their place.

Where Priests Panther will Ask a fellow former Avenger to do something of importance, Hudlins will order it and not accept any protest for his manner from that Avenger.

Where One will fight Quietly and just Whoop you, The other talks Smack.

Okay,.. to give credit,.. I'd rather to talk smack than do that continous monologue that Kirby had him doing.

Another thing I give Hudlin,.. he is paying attention to continuity,.. and Canon.

But I think I've nailed why he's rubbing folk the wrong way.

(Smile)
@ picturing that mouthy broad as part of the Nova Corps.

She be starting more stuff than solving.

Well, she's doing a pretty good job of taking out villians over in New Warriors.

I agree.

I kind of dig it though. I liked the schooling Panther gave Surfer. (the 2nd time. The first was preposterous, even in the realm of comic fantasy)...the fanboy in me sleeps well at night knowing that a fellow member of the human race (T'Challa) was able to defeat an alien of the Surfer's stature, who conceiveably could turn on Earth at the drop of a hat (considering he is now back in servitude of Galactus)...

Humans rule. :word:

Latest Issue:

Still a Smart Sounding Ben Grimm.

The Black Panther was less Arrogant,.. then I remembered who was writing this version of the Panther.

Storm Showing another facet of her power that while well within the range of her ability was refreshing in application.

Duff needs to watch the next few issues to keep him in character,..What the Panther faces now and who the Panther IS,... and what the Panther IS will test the boundary between King and Super Hero.

REED was pretty passive for Reed.

All in all I'm still enjoying this much more than hating it.
