To me it's become one of the most convoluted things to ever happen to no only DC speedsters but comics in general. And that covers ALOT of ground.



How is super strength, heat vision, or multiple other powers any LESS physics breaking than super speed?

Also MANY DC superheroes have super strength why don't THEY ALL draw their powers from the same source?



It's not like those things because Barry Allen is now the person who generates the well of energy that fuels motion where he gets its powers from, which somehow makes the speed force even MORE CONVOLUTED & RIDICULOUS. A feet I didn't think possible, but then I keep underestimating "The Dan Didio Force" and its powers of finding new ways of disappointing/making me mad that I didn't think were possible.

Making Barry the creator/cause of the speed force is stupid yes.

But the speed force initially wasn't that stupid or convoluted. as far as comic book logic goes.

The thing is, the Flashes, well Wally, were thousands of times faster than light. It goes beyond super strength and heat vision etc.

That's really the problem I have with Not Wally. It's not that he's black but the fact that this is not Wally West.

Nu52 is what happens when you take the worst elements of 90s Marvel and 90s Image while catering to the whims of silver age fanboys. Didio, Bob Harras, Jim Lee, and Geoff Johns are running DC into the ground with this ****. I hope the fan backlash from all these crappy comics eventually forces them to reboot this universe Heroes Reborn style.

I'm guessing it's the old "watch the jerky guy overcome his various flaws and learn to be a better person" formula, with new Wally's intended character development to go from hating the Flash to not hating the Flash.
