WandaVision WandaVision General Discussion Thread

I’m telling you, Monica, Darcy and Jimmy together in an Agents of SWORD spinoff would be must see tv.

Uff I dont know man. Those series should feel like meaningful events in my opinion. Cases of the week with a little overall arc without an A-Character in it feel not significant for me and I doubt it can make major push to a major storyline itself. Plus Disney+ has so many other shows in the pipeline..

It could work with the right people at the helm, as a limited series. Granted we don’t know the specific order of what’s coming next, but you got Monica Rambeau in the mix and she’s heavily connected in the MCU so whatever ramifications she faces in a spinoff, I’m sure will have weight. Not to mention Darcy and her Thor connection also.

I say all that to say, it could be fun!

Liked the show better before it felt the need to explain itself.

The info-dump scenes are just terribly handled and ruin any vibe going on within the sitcom stuff.

I thought the interesting part of the real world stuff from this episode was

Monica being examined and her initial body scan was blank and they wanted to run some more tests but she refused. Something is up there.

Note her powers from the comics: she's an energy manipulator and energy being. Her lack of an x-ray could easily either be "she absorbed all the x-rays" or "she doesn't have bones, she's a sack of energy superficially shaped like a human". Which is to say, I think she totally had her radiation accident, its just a matter of time before she realizes it. Or just possibly, she *has* realized at least something, and that is why she refused further tests.

I think it's a hint at her getting powers. What if the bubble around Westview is what creates mutants?

. . . when the much simpler answer is "Being blasted through a reality warping barrier by cosmic energy can give one superpowers"? Doubly so since Monica isn't even a mutant in the comics.

That's what I meant, not necessarily mutants but give powers to people. Maybe it pops and the energy spreads over the world at the end.

I wonder...

I have to admit the last two Wandvision episodes have been good. I did not feel the first 3 episodes, I thought they were boring. I am interested in how they use Evan Peterson’s Quicksilver. It also appears that Wanda is not crazy. She just is heartbroken and wants to hide away in fantasy land. I actually feel for her. Good job Marvel.

I doubt it'll go through as is. Marvel has their plans already and I don't think there has ever been a case where someone publically shared they were pitching something and Marvel then decided to pick up the thing that was pitched. If Jimmy becomes very popular due to this show I could see them thinking about doing Agents of Atlas when it fits in their schedule, but I don't think they'll just go "This guy came to us with a pitch for X-Files but in the MCU with Jimmy Woo? Sounds fun, let's make it happen."

Marvel is getting a bit greedy with their spinoffs now thag they've got all the characters. And I love it, long live the king.

She’s inspiring. Can’t wait to see her join the avengers

Is Monica Rambeau a big or important character in the comics? I have no idea

She’s technically the first female Captain Marvel and once was leader of the Avengers, so yeah.

I don't know if there's a bigger Marvel fan than me, but I just feel the interesting parts are too few and far between. Maybe it's the just the sitcom thing. I don't know. By, like, 85 hyperspace jumpgates, Monica is THE most interesting part of this show. I would PAY to see her in a movie (when the theaters open back up)....wait.....isn't that the point?

She'll be in the sequel of Captain Marvel.
