Warner Bros Developing LEGO Movie...

I'm really thinking of seeing this one more time in theaters. It would be 4 times for me which is kinda crazy. Also wish my Mondo poster would arrive already.

I too have seen this four times and I'm contemplating seeing this one more time in 3D.

Warner Bros Sets ‘Lego Movie’ Sequel For May 2017

BREAKING: The Lego Movie to date has made $151.7 domestically after two weeks in release and now it is getting a sequel. Warner Bros just announced that it has blocked out May 26, 2017 on the release date schedule. Done in association with Village Roadshow, Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment, the PG-rated Lego Movie has been able to cross demos from family to older teens — it’s a formula for success that made a sequel a no-brainer. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller wrote the screenplay and directed, and Chris Pratt, Will Arnett, Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Channing Tatum, Will Forte and Jonah Hill provided the voices. The pic crossed $200 million worldwide Wednesday after a killer $69 million opening weekend and is expected to take first place again this frame.

So is Miller/Lord coming back or is that still up in the air?

I think it's still up in the air but it would be very disappointing if they didn't come back. Then again, there are other projects which may require their attention..

cough justice league cough

Finally saw it (was released yesterday here in Italy). This movie was AWESOME! Original, charming, fun, crazy, visually stunnig and with lots of heart!

LOVED the twist!

Phil Lord & Chris Miller seems like they can't do anything wrong so far. I've loved their three features. They totally need to (re-)write and direct an R-rated "Deadpool" movie!

2017???? But I want the sequel NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So all 3 of Lord/Miller's films will have sequels. I'm assuming 22 Jump Street will be the best as it's the only one their directing,

Saturday Update: Warner Bros. reports that The LEGO Movie earned $7.34 million on Friday, off 43 percent from last week's inflated Valentine's Day and bringing its domestic total up to $159.05 million through 15 days of release. That's 12 percent ahead of the pace of The Lorax as the film handily retains first place for a third straight weekend. BoxOffice projects a $32.5 million third frame for LEGO

What? You mean adaptations? Because I think 22 Jump St is their first sequel that they're directing.

Yeah that's what I mean. They didn't direct Cloudy 2 and aren't doing Lego 2.

we don't know if they aren't doing Lego 2 yet

they aren't writing it but that doesn't mean they won't have influence in the writing

Jared Stern’s involvement is born out of the creative consortium of top-notch writers and directors Warner Bros. created to foster new animated projects. “The Lego Movie” was greenlit before the formation of this consortium, but it is the studio’s first animated release since it decided to put it together. Warner Bros. did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Stern is one member of that group alongside Lord and Miller, “Muppets” writer/director Nicholas Stoller, who is working on “Storks” and “Bad Santa” writers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who are working on “Smallfoot.” Each of those filmmakers is working on a specific project, but they will also provide guidance and feedback on some of the other projects being developed.

Sunday Update: As was widely expected, The LEGO Movie easily remained in first place this weekend with an estimated $31.45 million. Warner's 3D computer animated blockbuster has led the weekend box office with absolute ease for three consecutive frames. The LEGO Movie was down 37 percent from last weekend, which represented a very solid hold given that last weekend's three-day frame was significantly inflated in general by Valentine's Day falling on a Friday. The film has grossed a very impressive $183.16 million in 17 days, which places it 16 percent ahead of the $158.39 million 17-day take of 2012's The Lorax (which fell 41 percent in its third weekend to gross $22.76 million).

That part was great. I like Virtruvius's "sneakin' round the corner....ahhhhh!"

I didn't like this movie. I thought you should all know that.

You're input has been processed and disregarded :o
I'm sorry!

Everything is awesome!!!

Sorry I forgot that if anyone thinks differently they will be destroyed!

Everything is awesome!!!

BTW kiddies go beg your parents for those Lego sets and characters that were advertised in the film. That's the sole reason why this movie was made!

Must... buy..... Lego..... Toyzzzzzzzz.........

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. For instance I don't care for the MARVEL films. Yeah I know I'm the only one. But I don't think everyone is wrong for loving them so much. And yes Everything is Awesome, like The Lego Movie.

I have a soul so I love The Lego Movie and Everything Is Awesome. :D

:o
