The Bond producers prefer puppet directors. Nolan is anything but a puppet director. He will make the movie his way, not their way. They don't like that one bit. It's very much a producers' franchise.
You're right fiction is infinite. They could keep Inception going. Can they do it well? WIll Nolan want to? Those are 2 separate questionsWith all due respect, this is a lazy question remarked by non-thinkers. Fiction is infinite. Stories can always be expanded upon. The question is if Nolan himself could come up with a fascinating follow-up since he'd likely be the only one to helm a sequel. But I have no doubt there's some random idea out there that could brilliantly continue the narrative introduced by Inception. Maybe not necessarily following Cobb, but certainly the world inhabited by him and his team.
Precisely.A prequel maybe, but a sequel involving the same characters would just ruin the ending of the first movie.

there is only one movie that was never going to have a sequel no matter the BO.Titanic.
if your main character lives at the end of the movie then there is a chance for a sequel. hehe![]()
how do you know that he will not do a sequel in 10 years? maybe he will become a hack.
you know like Cameron is now a hack on the internet because he made a lot of money with Titanic and Avatar. two of the worst blockbuster movies ever made.
too bad

fantastic ideaIf there was to be any sort of follow up to Inception I'd like to see a TV series, I think the concept could in fact work better as a 12-13 episode series, those who thought there wasn't enough character development couldn't complain then. That said, I don't want a follow up.

Hack on the internet? People on movie message boards and what not are like less than 1% of the population.
Two of the worst blockbusters? Time to step away from the computer and get some sunshine.
Josh Wigler said:As Christopher Nolan prepares to launch into his third Batman film with "The Dark Knight Rises," he's still working on moving past his most recent directorial effort, "Inception." Although the Leonardo DiCaprio-starring science fiction film may have seemed like a one-off adventure, Nolan hasn't stopped dreaming about the future of "Inception" as a possible franchise.
Yes, "Inception" will live on but perhaps not in the form you're expecting.
"I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place," Nolan revealed in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. "At the moment, the only direction we're channeling that is by developing a video game set in the world."
Although Nolan declined to elaborate further on the "Inception" video game, he did say that development would be "a longer-term proposition," so don't expect any formal news anytime soon. He added that the video game medium is "something I've always wanted to explore," and "Inception" definitely feels like the best fit of all of Nolan's pre-existing films to explore in that capacity, Batman movies excluded.
Finally, don't lose hope on the "Inception" sequel front just yet. It's not at the forefront of Nolan's brain, but it's also not an entirely lost cause, based on his latest comments.
"As for [movie] sequels," he said, "It's not something I want to say no to, but it's not something I've given a lot of thought about."
If they do a sequel with or without Leo it completely ruins the ending of the film. If they must make another, do a prequel. But I don't even care that much for one.
