Was Luke Cage In TIH?

That's what I said. Think they sold them already. What's his face is supposed to be doing a Cage Movie, but he hasn't gotten around to it yet. Singleton I believe.

I'm not insulting people... this entire thread is based on the idea that one random black guy that almost got hit by a car thrown by fight is Luke Cage.

I didn't just point out the first black man I saw and said "Look, it's Luke Cage". That actor actaully looked the way Luke is designed in the comics and had on the same type of cloths he wears, plus a gold chain. And that scene took place in Harlem where luke is from and they kept the camera on him for a moment. They didn't do that with the other people runing around. So it lead me to wonder.

You guys are looking everywhere now, I can believe the Spidey "cameo", maybe even the Thor rain thing. But this? No matter how much I want a Cage movie this is pathetic.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Are you talking about the scene where that lighting struck behind Hulk, then he threw the rock into the air? You'll believe that's a Thor cameo, but wont believe a bold black man with a goatee, street cloths on, with a gold chain around his neck appearing in a fight between Hulk and Abom in Harlem can't be Luke Cage? If so then THAT'S pathetic.

But yes, to me, this was a tip of the hat to Luke Cage. Open yellow shirt, big gold chains, it was in Harlem. Obviously it wasn't Cage himself, but i think it was clearly a little nod to the character.

i think he was a character that wasn't luke cage but dressed in such a way to be a jokey wink to marvel fans, rather than an in continuity hint.

thats what i was thinking. lol. dont get much more New York then good ole Omar. but hes a pretty good actor, would love to see him in a Marvel flick for more than a few seconds. lol. and i always assumed he had some lines cut out. i always thought it was weird that they got him for a non speaking extra part. just like Ghost Face Killas(who calls himself Tony Starks or just plain Iron Man) cameo got cut out of the first Iron Man.

When MARVEL cameos characters, they make it obvious (Hawkeye in Thor; Fury in Iron Man; or even Stan Lee's appearances are spelt out to us).

thats true but according to some of the earlier posters the guy was supposed to have a few lines, plus Norton liked him as an actor so he kind of threw the guy a cameo. hes a pretty recognisable face so its not like hes some nobody extra. and were over the Luke Cage thing. thread kind of turned into a discussion about cameo appearances. lol

Yeah, must've got really cut. Because this guy wasn't even in the 42mins of deleted scenes on TIH blu-ray. 42 mins is alot of alternate, deleted & extended scenes!

There is some attention paid to him though. The camera focuses on him for a few seconds. There was definitely more attention paid to him than the other screaming citizens amongst the carnage.

Like i said, i don't think it was actually meant to be Cage. But it was definitely a tip of the hat to the character. There is too many coincidences for it to not be.
