Wow...yeah...
Moving past the lovely flame war that seems to be starting...
The Omega stuff, for me, is painfully simple. Characters who are said to be "omega" are omega. Iceman, Jean, etc. People that want Storm to be 'omega' will have to wait until they land a job with Marvel and get to write a comic, any comic, and just have it in there somewhere that Storm is 'omega level' if it hasn't already been stated. Seeing as how we are sitting here debating over a literary character that is in a constant state of transition, we have to go by what is already printed in Marvel comic form as the facts for the character. If we want that to change, someone else will change it in time. If there's a comic out there that is printed by Marvel affiliated with X-Men and it says "oh yeah...Storm is omega", then that's that.
In the meantime, we can always fill up threads with constant "omg she is" and "omg she isnt" arguments all day. It's really just about accepting what's fact and accepting what's your personal aspirations and hopes for one of your favorite characters.
'Sides, if I had my way, Beast and Cyclops would rule two hemispheres in the comics and blow up planets and do all sorts of god-like superhero things.
Which is why I'll never get a job at Marvel.
