Iron Man Was this in the movie?

Swank wasn't in the movie.

I think all that just stems from the fact that people saw the woman in the Vegas thing and everyone assumed it was her. Woman was in fact not Swank.
Favreau and Avi Arad kind of fed those rumors by making comments like these.

Maybe it was their way of messing with fans heads or perhaps her scene was cut from the final film?

Nice one Steve.

They filmed a kiss scene between Potts and Stark.I'm glad they left this out because it would have been cliche.

To my recollection these scenes weren't in the movie either.

I saw it and I felt like...what about Ghostface Killah's (aka Wu-Tang's very own Tony Stark who named an entire album Iron Man out of respect for the comic character) cameo?...I, as a Wu-fan 4 life...was a little let down by that one. Or would that have been cheezier than having Stan Lee appear as himself in F4 2 or the "I'm the Juggernaut, b****!" line in X3? I honestly don't think it would have hurt...and there was confirmation that the scene was definitely filmed.

He was n the movie. On the scene where tony and rhodes are drinking to the dancing girls you can see ghostface killa on the tv in the background. At least i think so. I think the tv said ghostface killah.

Swank was in the movie. She was in the scene right after the Apogee Award when Stark is gambling.

It's Stark, Happy, and Swank. She moves in closer and the two start flirting. Then Rhodes walks up and hands Stark the award. Stark loses some money and they leave, only to run into the Vanity Fair chick.

And yes, the whole Dubai sequence was taken out. It sucks, cause I was actually looking forward to it (if it was going to be anything like the novelization).

I can't wait for an extended release on DVD. One with the two girls as well as that shot on the first page. Where he gets up from the crouching position in that dark room.

At first I thought it was her, but then I'm pretty sure it was just someone who looked ALOT like her.

I'm kind of glad they edited out the Dubai scene. I think it would have been too repetitive in showing what a playboy Tony is. The flow and pacing of the movie was perfect in my opinion.

That wasn't Hillary Swank. It was a woman called Stacy Stas.

The movie felt pretty lean even at two hours. Though I think that Pepper and Tony could've had a bit of a kiss at the end.

Just saying nothing felt dragged out extraneous in the movie and it used its time very well, so it was OK to cut this stuff. Though I hope we see it on the DVD.

SHH!: What didn't make it into the final cut that we can expect in the director's cut DVD?
Favreau: What do you want me to say? Do you want me to say Hilary Swank? Want me to say Nick Fury? Is that what you're reaching for? What is going to be there? There's going to be a sequence between when Robert takes off to go to fight back in Afghanistan, where there's a whole party sequence in Dubai that we filmed that just felt like it just slowed the momentum down. There's a cameo from Ghostface Killer that was there where him and Tony Stark knew each other. What else is there?

I'd say that was a good editing choice on Favreau's part.

^
Yup, that party scene was in the novel and I was surprised they cut it out. To be honest though, it actually isn't really needed. The movie was perfect without it.

Just be glad they skipped the armor with the nose.
