What in fact didn't occur to you when you had the wonderful idea of saying the above is:

Alan Moore developed that character to become a physicall and psychological shadow of her prime years.

She doesn't care about anything anymore (and that's what we understand at a certain point of the novel, I mean, where she left her life behind).

She's a grumpy old woman who lost her looks, and has swift tongue and bad habits: it has a meaning into the story.

There is nothing "graceful" about the character, saving a kiss in a photo and an erotic comics' gift.

i just get the sense the actors are going to be very stiff as if every move is not a practical part of winning in hand to hand combat, that is, it's not a punch it's a pose. we shall see.

but she does look like Xena right? not bad depending who you ask.
