If you edit out the Star Trek clips and some of the obvious Johnny Storm I would have believed it was the real thing.

And this is just what this film needs... early internet buzz... I am sure this trailer will pop up and just about every fanboy site over the next few months. Good early attention to the film.

I have a question and a comment though for the creator. first the comment, I liked it and I know you didn't have a lot to work wiht but the only part that i didn't like was the ***** slap with the hard light contruct part it felt too goofy, I hope we don't see this in the movie. 2 how did you do all the aliens like Kilowag, bird guy and the squirrel and the orbman?

Wow, excellent trailer! People have commented on your editing - deservedly so - but what I think I loved the most was the music. Really struck an epic tone. Congratulations, brilliant work.

Wouldn't it be funny if Nathan Fillion ended up being cast off the momentum of this fan trailer?

HA! The ***** slap was a debate in my head, but it was too perfect from "Bedtime Stories" when I first saw them pull out these guns that were emiting the same energy as the Green Lantern ring, I couldn't pass it up. You're lucky I didn't use more!

Believe it or not, the alien Lanterns were ALL photoshop with After Effects animation.

All I did for Kilowog was find a picture of a toy and photoshop it, cut out the mouth as a new layer, import to After Effects, and make it open slowly. Slight of hand.
Tomar-Re and the dude from MIB in the back were just still photoshop manips , then I animated the camera around them to make it look like they were standing in 3D.

Galius Zed was just a photoshop manip - all I did was smudge his arm in After Effects to give him some movement.

Of all the shots I did, these were some of the easiest.

Since the casting hasn't been announced yet, I figured I'd go ahead and do a trailer with my pick, Nathan Fillion as Hal. I know he probably won't get it, but at least I'll have this.

Great job! If this film turns out anything near the look of your trailer.....this film really has the potential to be a big time sci fi epic, especially with modern technology.

That was absolutely fantastic! As someone who enjoys fan-editing trailers and knows what the painstaking process is like, I must say, that was one of the greatest displays of composting, maniping and editing that I've ever seen. I truly applaud your work. It is mindblowing!

BTW, if you ever have a chance, I'd love to chat with you in a little bit more detail about how you achieved certain effects, the time it took to pull them off, the best way to go about rotoscoping, etc. etc. I guess a PM would be the best way to talk. I'll leave starting the conversation up to you, so whenever you get the chance, just hit me up with a PM. I'd greatly appreciate it.
