WB & DC Meet For A Summit

Thats a joke right? Because I only saw the film 1 time in a dollar theater. If it's not, you obviously have me mistaken for somebody else.

Yup. He has you mistaken for Super_Kal. If I remember correctly, he's the one that saw it so many times.

I couldn't remember his name, thanks for reminding me. Actually I've never seen a movie more than once in theaters...anywho I'm not going to let it bother me, it's a mistake.

I really didn't even notice the so called "Stalkerman" that had some fans up in arms. Probably because I have seen it so much in many different incarnations of the character, where Clark or Superman uses his powers to gain the upper hand. You can find it in a lof of the comic arcs over the past 70 some odd years as well as shows like Lois and Clark, Superboy, and Smaville.
I think there were other issues that bothered me more.

EXACTLY, god i am so sick of this argument, Superman has done stuff like that plenty of times in every medium he has been in. its not like SR was the first time he did it.

Not to mention he isnt a stalker, he has X-ray vision which can see through any clothing yet chooses not to, how is that a stalker please? If he had watched Lois in the shower, or getting undressed, i would be right there with you calling him a stalker, but he didnt, get over it.

Well Routh didnt have Superman's Build and he has brown eyes, so a muscle suit and contact's had to suffice and dont you get me started on that suit.

But we didn't see his brown eyes in SR, right? ;)

And he does has the build. It just the suit were tight kind & that he has to use the fake muscles inside the suit. If the material was different & didn't use the fake muscles, it might have made him look as big as Reeve. If not bigger.

I agree. A sequel is a huge risk. TDK did huge this wekend. And Ironman earlier.

And a reboot is a huge risk as well. Look at The Incredible Hulk. That movie has barely made it money back. Hell, it not even going to beat the original film's record. Both reboot & sequel are huge risk, so WB can't win on this.

After the success of TDK, I really hope Singer and WB get to Man of Steel soon. The movie has huge potential, I do like Singer's overall direction, he just needs to up the entire game on nearly every level.

Same here. With how he made X2 better than X-Men along with praise from many fans & critics, I think he can do the same with Superman. But we'll see if he does return for MoS.

Lol Thats not happening, the film has been pushed back how many times. Its now set for a 2009, plus it has Tom Cruise in it you know the guy everyone loves to hate.

How you know it going to be bad? Did you use the DeLorean & went back in time to see the film? Beside, even some films that are good tend to get push back.

I see all kind of homosexual innuendos in SR.

What the hell...?!? Why must people use that "homosexual" crap when it come to Singer? So what if one is gay. It don't mean it affect everything in their film. I swear people are making big deal about one's sexuality. :whatever:

Dark Lord has it. Sorry Spidey. My bad.

I've corrected the original post.

^No biggie, I was just shocked that my name was associated with that umm... strange story.

The reason I have a problem with the way he used his power was because it was all for his own good. If he used his super stalking ability to fine Lex or to stop some other evil plain I do not think I would have an issue with it. Its like with all that could of have happen in 5 years the first thing he had to do was stalk his ex. On the other hand Superman was too lazy to turn the alarm on to the FOS before he left, with out telling any one, for 5 years. I’m sorry but I just do not see anything heroic about this movie.

Only good things can come from this summit (hopefully).

I just dont see how you can call it stalking, he hasnt seen the woman he loves for 5 years, he barely got the chance to speak to her as Clark so he went to the house to look upon the woman he loves and HASNT SEEN FOR 5 YEARS.

He's just come back from trip were he expected to find some surviving Kryptonian's and finds that his homeworld is truly dead and he is alone in the universe (not to mention the whole trip he has been alone). He feels more lonely than ever and wants to look upon the one human who relates to him.

HOW is that stalking?

HOW is that stalking?

I present you with a scenario my dear friend and please answer this honestly.

We have a man called Tom Drite who is an undercover CIA agent, he works in a paper factory as his cover and has fallen in love with a woman called Sally. Anyway Tom puts his Sausage in Sallys pie and then takes of for 5 years without telling her his identity or the fact that he was taking of. Tom selfishly returns and expects everything to be as it was, anyway he finds out that Sally has now met a great guy and that they are happy together with a kid. That night the still obsessed Tom decides to visit Sally's estate and takes a telescope with him, upon his arrival at Sally's Estate he climbs a tree and takes his Telescope with him. He then sits down and spys on Sally and her new boyfriend watching them and listening to their private conversation.

Now I ask you is that an acceptable behaviour for Tom I mean is it ok for him to act this way because he is in love? Or perhaps the situation varies for Superman because well his Superman and he has powers?

Really? I see movies that I love in theaters multiple times. Hell, I saw TDK twice on opening day. :word:

If my sister decides to see the TDK I might go see it again with her. It really depends on my mood.

I'm going to chime in and again state that although it's funny to make jokes about, I really don't believe that what Superman did was stalking. You could say he spied on Lois and don't agree with his discission but saying that it was stalking is just going way overboard and he wasn't dead beat dad either...untill the end of the picture. If a direct follow up is made and he still doesn't tell his son the truth and be apart of his life in some way well...I'm going to have huge problems with that.

If Singer doesn't come back....then Zack Snyder should be the man to direct a sequel to SR or any anotehr Superman film. Can you imagine him and his visuals for Superman flying and fight scenes and his take on Braniac? Wow!

Sign me up.

The stalking criticism's are completely absurd.

It's funny how no one ever complained when Dean Cain's Superman did the exact same thing on the first season of "Lois and Clark", when Superman was watching Lex propose to Lois, through her window. Or when Clark on "Smallville" would peep on Lana, through his telescope, from his barn.

:csad:

Hollywood Reporter: So how did the "Summit" go?

Jeff Robinov: Well, I would like to announce, that WB and DC have come to an agreement.

Hollywood Reporter: That is good news. So when will we see Green Lantern or Man of Steel?

Jeff Robinov: Well, let us not get ahead of ourselves. I will give you breaking news though. WB and DC have decided to team up to deliver some superhero films based off DC comic books sometime within the next decade.

Hollywood Reporter: Um...good...but which ones?

Jeff Robinov: That will be decided at the next Summit next year. Hopefully. Actually, maybe the year after. We're making Batman 3 though.

Hollywood Reporter: Yeah...thanks for the breaking news.

^I think my hope for MOS may officially be dead. Damn WB!

I really, REALLY hope thats a joke.;)

Yes. I am joking.

Again? Do I joke often?
