Never said WB's should hire Nolan to direct Supes. Snyder is the one that I can see possibly being a good fit. What I meant by WB's rollin with Nolan and Snyder, is that those are two directors they have that WB's needs to keep happy and keep around while there hot. Watchmen will be good.....write it down.

Let me see how the movie ends, then we'll talk. If they change the ending, Snyder FAILS!!! Regardless of how good it is otherwise.

The whole point of Watchmen is what happens at the end. If you change it, it is not Watchmen anymore. The brilliance of Watchmen is the ending. I know we won't get many of the great things in Watchmen, and some stuff will be cut/changed, and I don't mind that. However, the ending is sacred. Miss that, and you missed the whole point of Watchmen.

I miss my old avatar too but I only have to keep this one for 2 to 3 weeks I believe. The thing is I don't know if I'll bring back my Knightley avatar, I mean I loved it but I feel a need for a change.

I think the ending will most likely be the least of your worries when it comes to the film. We'll see though....

There in a really tight spot with MOS, obviously the hulk wasn't a box office smash hit so a reboot isn't going to guarantee the money they were hoping for. Obviously SR didn't perform as well as they wanted and I think the question going forward is, can a sequel make its budget back with half of the fans disliking the film. Its a risk either way, unless they were to do a reboot/ prequel to SR, keep the same characters but do the origin, I doubt that will ever happen though. Or they could invest that money in another property like Green Latern. After Iron man I think they would rather invest their money in a lesser known character than a movie like speedracer.

The answer to the problem is obvious IMO. When it comes to the next Superman film....they need to have that story be a lead in to an eventual JL film. WB's needs to tell Singer or whoever directs the next film needs to maintain budget discipline and keep the it around 160-170 million. The next film needs to up the action and fighting and needs to be a tighter more riveting story as well an up tempo fun yet emotional pace. Imagine having the ending of the next Supes film provide us the fans a glimpse of a bigger threat like Darkseid or the White Martians. Also the next Supes film needs to have some minor cameos, mentions or hints of other heroes who are part the JL.

Martian Manhunter would be my choice. You can have him be Detective John Jones of the Metropolis police department or something. That would be his cover so he can get close to Superman and eventually try to approach him about the bigger threat (Darkseid or White Martians) that he knows about at the end of the film perhaps. Something like that would kick up the buzz for the next Supes film and the general public and fans would eat it up in preparation for the eventual JL film.

^I just dont see the need for a JL film for a good few years, regardless of what happens with Superman, at least 80% of the characters involved in a JL movie need a movie of their own first otherwise people in the GA will be confused as hell.

Seriously, we should all pray for a cartoon. Since I last visited SHH, the only thing new are threads devoted to the actor/director/SR film. There has been no new news about anything. Yet, there are still the supporters who say stupid and silly stuff. Btw...were is Aragorn? I'm supposed to laugh at him because he said that TDK would be the callsign for a Superman sequel.
