WB is Making the Suicide Squad movie

I agree with you about Pouder & Statham. And as for Zoe 'Uhura' Saldana as Vixen: GREAT CHOICE, I hadn't thought of her for the part.
I'd also like to see Michael Jai White as Bronze Tiger..Let's keep Common FAR AWAY from this franchise.

And to my Planet friends, the friend requests are in the mail. :woot:

No to Statham for anything. He just plays himself in every movie. I say Matt Dillion as Deadshot.

Can't see Dillon as Deadshot. :csad:

Isn't Michael Jai Fox too old? I'd guess he'd be paired with Vixen.

Dillon is too big of a name to star in a SS film IMHO. Well, I mean as Deadshot anyway. Now as Rick Flagg, Jr. maybe just maybe.

LOL! No, not Michael J. Fox, Michael Jai White the guy that played Spawn

Speaking of typos, I MISREAD Matt DILLION as Matt DAMON.:O Anyhow, I don't want Dillion as Deadshot, however I still think Damon would make a pretty good Rick Flagg Jr.

What are the chances that this movie actually gets made?

I wouldn't mind Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Deadshot, but I worry about typecasting as the role would be too similar to Watchmen and The Losers.

Amanda Waller - CCH Pounder (duh)
Deadshot - Jason Statham (duh)
Bronze Tiger - Michael Jai White (duh)
Captain Boomerang - David Wenham
Count Vertigo - James Marsters
Nightshade - Alexa Davalos
Vixen - Zoe Saldana (I know she's already in The Losers, but I don't care :woot:)

I think Paddy Considine would make for a great Deadshot. He's easily my top choice. Sadly, the Youtube scene which best encapsulates how perfect he is for Floyd Lawton has a bad swear in it. :(

As for Amanda Waller.... I thought CCH Pounder was a no-brainer even before I knew she voiced the part in the cartoons. She's one hell of an actress, as this scene demonstrates. WARNING, SPOILERS for the finale of The Shield:

Yea there really isnt anyone else would be be perfect for that role.

Amanda Waller - CCH Pounder.
Rick Flagg Jr. - Cole Hauser (I know he hasn't been comented, but... :woot:)
Bronze Tiger - Idris Elba.
Vixen - Zoe Saldana.
Deadshot - Jason Statham.
Captain Boomerang - Dougray Scott.
Nightshade - Alexa Davalos (Thanks, Jake! :woot:)
Count Vertigo - Philip Winchester.

Rick Flagg Jr. - Cole Hauser

Nice.

On a side note, remember the movie The Great Escape? Steve McQueen's sidekick in that was an actor named Angus Lennie. His character in that movie reminds me of Boomer every time I watch it, down to the same hat & everything. The only difference is that Lennie is Scottish, not Australian.

My cast based on the potential line up. I tried to use casting that I think is reasonable, and it's why I don't have an A lister at every turn, I think these actors are gettable and fit their respective roles in looks, and personality, as well as being good actors.

Jason Statham as Deadshot

CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller (This is like Stewart as Prof X, cannot be messed up)

James Marsters as Count Vertigo

Jason Statham just doesn't scream Deadshot to me. I like The Stath, don't get me wrong, but with him in your movie you know what you're gonna get. And to me, what you're gonna get isn't Deadshot. Paddy Considine all the way, or at least and actor of that mould, rather than an action man.

But Lawnton IS an action man.

Yeah, but not that type. He's got a real darkness to him, a lot more cold and cerebral than balls and bluster. It would be very easy just to make Deadshot a badass anti-hero, even easier with Statham playing him, seeing that he specialises in that role.

But Deadshot is like the anti-anti-hero, in that he seems to be following the stereotype of criminal is forced to act like a good guy, and actually becomes one, when in fact he's a criminal forced to act like a good guy, who remains totally rotten and soulless throughout.

His latest portraits ("Villains United", "Secret Six", etc.) depict him as an Anti-Hero. I think Statham would fit him (No moustaches, off course. :hehe:)
