WB animation is remaking the Thundercats as an animated TV series.
The animation style is whimsical, Americanized-anime, along the lines of Teen Titans.
The setting is modern-day Earth, in a major city (possibly LA)
The Thundercats are all teenagers.
Their leader is Snarf (!) who is now a mystic with a "third" eye.
Each of the Thundercats has a weapon with an "Eye of Thunderra" and transformative powers (not just Lion-O)
When they aren't fighting evil, the Thundercats play together as a rock band. That's not a typo, or a joke. They are rockin' cats in their present form.
Mum-Ra now has wings.
And I bet he laughs a bit more than he used to =P
Developing...

That's absolutely hideous. It seems too stupid to be real.

That is going to redefine the word "schlock".

Lets hope so.

He-Man wasn't funked around with like that for it's new millenium remake.

What's so hard about taking the source material, bettering the animation and stories. Although there are a few little change I'd make, but nothing huge.

they could have made the show more akin to a 90s animated series like X-Men or Gargoyles where there is a lot of drama, good story telling, and not a little kids shows.....

refining the show for a more mature audience would have been a better idea

this is a bad idea....

imean snarf as leader????

this has to be a joke...

one could have said the same thing about Loonatics. :(

face it, between Loonatics, the new Scooby Doo, and this, WB seems to have their minds set on a$$ raping every classic cartoon franchise they have.

Somebody needs to shoot the WB with a double barrow sawed-off shotgun right up their stupid asses. They are really crazy MOFOs!!

They should just bring it back but in a more serious tone, sort of like Gargoyles, now that would be sweet.......

But this idea of WB;s is crap!

Is it wrong to think the new Scooby Doo is better than the original?:o

Go to the link, at least watching the old opening will make you smile....Damn you WB, damn you to hell!

yes. hell, I didn't even like the original Scooby Doo, but at least it wasn't completely moronic like this one.

best Scooby will always be A Pup Named Scooby Doo. it was actually funny.

I loved a Pup named Scooby Doo.everyday I would make sure I watched it.I still think Red Herring was behind all Mysteries.Sort of like the kingpin.

 Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! You bastards, you studio money hungry bastards! I don't even watch Thundercats, never really cared for it. But even I know it's a classic 80's show that shouldn't be touched!

dont do this, they remade transformers,he-man, even gi mother^%^ing joe,all were crapfests, dont butt rape thundercats also

THIS IS NOT LION-O AND THE ***** CATS!!!! "Pun intended" Hollywood in general should keep this mind. If is not broken do not fix it. Why change something that made it so popular in in the first place???

very.....:eek::(:down

A Thundercats remake has so much potential on being a really good animated show......

but they screwed up......:down:down:(

This is just proof that there are no more original ideas left. Look at some of things they have out now on the cartoon network. It's ALL crap. I said it before and i'll say it again, thank God I was a kid when I was. I know there is the generation before me who will say the same thing I am with all the Hanna Barbera, Looney Tunes(pre-60's I know) and all that good stuff from the 60's, but nothing can top 70's and 80's cartoons. That includes almost everything from the 90's (there are a few exceptions).

90s was good for cartoon shows especially ones dealing with super heroes....

90s Rocked!!!!

Thundercats was an animation I feel ahead of its time. Amazing animation, and some good stories.

What they're about to do to it will be a complete travesty and an insult to a revolutionary show.

But then again, they have a specific market to aim for. Look at the He-Man remake. I thought it was a good show, and was true to the original concept. Yet the show only lasted 2 seasons, did it not?

Not looking forward to this series, but if it developed, I will watch the first episode. Just to say I did.
