I mean, it's still not as bad looking as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but... :o

I have no problem with them making some people more aware of what the film is.

Logo/title design revealed.

I really like that.

Very nice! And I think "From JK Rowlings Wizarding World" is fitting. They have to let the average joe know what this is. The book this film is based on is a school textbook type thing that was sold for charity a decade ago. Only a small amount of harry potter fans even know ot remember it exists. The average joe wouldnt have any clue this was set in the same universe as harry potter if they didnt put that on there.

And only putting "JK Rowling" on there wouldnt be enough because she has published 4 other books not set in the wizarding world so just putting JKs name on there wouldnt have told people this was set in the wizarding world.

WB did the smart thing. Not everyone is as in the know as internet nerds.

He is the only one whose contempt for all of us rivals Sawyer's. Hmm... :hmm :o

Hey hey hey, I only hate you all in the way that closeted high school athletes claim to hate gays before eventually coming out in adulthood, not in the way that a closeted, married father of three actually hates the gays under the guise of religious freedom! That's Mayimbe! :argh:

Am I the only one thinking Redmayne will be a boring lead?

well he is playing a Happy-go-lucky Hufflepuff, not a Go-get-em Gryffindor.

*dodges frying pans hurled from the kitchens*
:woot:

i guess they decided to keep most of the title :funny:

i like the dragony / toothy / scaley design elements to it. similar to the Harry Potter lightning bolt design, but distinctive on its own. also they continued with the "Main Title and Subtitle" tradition from the previous series. well thought out. much awesome

kinda curious though if that wand has any significance to it... is that Newt's wand or just some generic wand?

Wonder if the sequel will keep using "Fantastic Beasts" as the main title followed by a subtitle?

Thats the impression I get from this title design. That the series is being titled "Fantastic Beasts" and the "and Where to Find Them" bit is being treated as a subtitle similar to how "Harry Potter" was the title of that series and then each film had its own subtitle.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Hide From Them

Fantastic Beasts and How To Make Billions Off Them

Fantastic Beasts and the Women Who Love Them

Fantastic Beasts and the Father of Dragons

coming to a youtube channel near you :sly:

im guessing thats exactly what theyre gonna do, its just easy to remember, the same way the Harry Potter series had mile long titles but casual moviegoers just remember them as Harry Potter that first one/ second/ last

I would have made it even more obvious for the GA. Something like "From the World of Harry Potter."
