Sure but... No. Actors also are cast (especially in genre pieces) to "types". Kate has range of course, but a part like the (Quoting the old HERCULES show) "ALL POWERFUL QUEEN OF THE GODS" is not something I see her as in the least. She's a GREAT actress... but sorry... I just don't see her as HERA.

I don't care if I get hate... I am not for Cate to be in this. For one... I just don't see the Queen of the Amazons in Cate (that's just my own biases true). Second... After Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull I get the feeling that in pop-corn type genre work Cate is the kind of actress that tends to go unsubtle in such projects. She's an amazing actress, but after KOTCS I am not sure I want to see her in too many action heavy tent pole crowd pleasers. Sue me.

For Hera, Circe or Hippolyta... Charlize Theron would be top of the list for either.

Same for Jolie. She could rock it at Diana's mom, the queen of the gods or Circe.

Knowing that Cate was under consideration means all bets are off in terms of casting. There are some big names that are being looked at methinks.
