Hi guys,
I'm new a new member, but I've read all of the posts on the forum. What you have all achieved is awesome!
And I promise you that unlike Exodere, I will not lie or make up pathetic excuses.

p.s. Do any of you have Twitter? My username is @Spider_Crafts

O.o how did you manage to find my twitter account?

hi guys, for now the progress on my shooter its good i already have tge pressure vessel and the valve. i just need the tubing and the heating coil, also for my formula i just need cellulose, i have a video on youtube and i talk about an introduction to my shooter also i talk about a test with an adhesive caulk here is the link http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO1vgyg-JL8&feature=plcp

Hi guys,
do you know how the valve and the button works?
and how would I make a spinneret?

I can explain tht to you when I get on my desktop PC tonight.

I have 5 hours to go until I get home. Had a great time ar Yellowstone. Also, I believe I may have said something a bit misleading at some point. I will be integrating a heating coil, they are not bad things.

I dont think adding graphene in the formula would increase tensile strength right?

graphene would make it stronger than steel. sadly, its hard to harvest and i dont know of a cheap solvent. unless you are a scientist with ample facilities, we cant really use it.

Well graphite is a close counterpart that can be easily found in pencil lead but it is practicly insoluable, just like graphene

no there are not nearly the same thing. By combining sodium, a explosive metal, and chlorine, a poisonous gas, you get sodium chloride: table salt. just goes to show you, when it comes to compounds, properties don't always transfer

I know that, but graphene is basically a single layer of graphite.
If i m not wrong, chemical properties are the same. But physical properties are different.

And regarding the idea of dropping super glue into waldaltmon s formula, has anyone thought deepy into it? Like, it actually could work right? Having two solenoids in a series? We could have a two part epoxy mix in it, one in one solenoid container amd another in the other? Thay way we can also add diaminohexane and sebacoyl chloride in another to make nylon?

Hi friends, I would like to get started on this project. I go to Montana State University, majoring in electrical engineering and minoring in chemical engineering. I thought this would be a fun project to take on :) I obviously don't have a shooter yet but I will be building on in the near future. I hope to be able to help you in the future. Also, I would like to ask wadaltmon a few questions, hopefully he sees this soon :)

if you do stay and join, you would be the most qualified person here lol

Except wadaltmon, considering he already has a shooter :P (sarcasm)
What has his progress been? Has he made any and just not posted it? (I know there is the chatzy room but my computer is too slow to run it at the moment)

hey! when can you chat!! i have to tell you some things, also i have cellulose acetate and rubber cement that means my formula is finished! but the bad news its that i try it and it didnt work so i need your help tell when can you skype

Anyone knows the minimum tensile strength needed to support say, a 50kg person?

@pllagunos: Don't know now. Trying to set some things straight. I did something that made someone else do something bad, so I have to deal with that responsibility. It probably means I won't be doing the shooter for a while, I feel pretty bad about it.
@spider,man: Saying precautions against swinging has been done enough, so I would estimate about a 1/4 inch diameter line, around 300-400 MPa.
