heres the webshooter that I built.I did not install the gears since we can't find an explanation of what they are for,I did placed a turbine inside the red disk I could take out that red rectangle with the word 'fashion' above it for the fluid gauge.

I found something interesting about the mechanics of 'red disk'.if you remember in trailer 2 Peter was holding a metal disk with holes around it

and you look at the holes in the webshooter when he's inserting the cartridge

they look the same,I may use that idea in my webshooter.I could spin it with a magnetic motor by pressing the touch sensor.

its so beautiful! :wow: dont read this post! i think im gonna cry! waaahhh!

You would need: 1 oz of whitening toothpaste(any kind as long its whitening toothpaste). 3 teaspoons of baking soda. 1 and a half oz of vinegar. 3 oz of BONDO fibreglass resin. 1 stick of a hot glue gun glue stick thats liquified(heat it up). 1/4 of acetone. 2 styrofoam cups(for acetone to dissolve the styrofoam to liquid). 2 teaspoons of salt.
how long would this take to harden and wouldnt you need to have some kind of heating agent built into the web shooter?

The formula takes 2 mins or less to harden.Once the formula is made you just need to heat it up once so that the webbing can expand a bit, then use something to cover the formula so that O2(oxygen) can't get into the formula or get out cause that will make the formula almost like the appearance of mashed potato. For it to solidify faster it needs to be super compressed and propelled by CO2.I don't know if you try that it may work it depends on how much strength the gas propel.

It would be kinda cool u used an xbox 360 battery pack for the pellet chamber it would be kinda bulky but i think it would work

Peter how long do you have to heat up the formula and can you do it in a microwave. And can you

Heat it for 6-8 seconds and you can heat in a microwave and while its heating DO NOT cover the formula.Yes,covering the formula with plastic and taping it is a great idea, then leave it untouch for 2 days.

I do not recommend using heat in your shooter. It is too hard to maintain the core temperature on a regular basis without using a big battery. If you do insist on it though, I would recommend you using silicone rubber to insulate the formula. That way the cartridge would be resistant to shock and have a little heat to go with it. In fact, if you look at the cartridge from the movie, you'll notice a coil of wire wrapped around the two stems protruding from the chamber. If that remains insulated by silicone, the wires are hooked up to a battery, the stem contains a heating element, you are using a carbon steel cartridge, and you have a liquid propellant that doesn't combust, you might just be able to pull that off.

Also, if you go to google images and type "Web shooter cartridge", a lot of it is from this forum.

thanks peter! my idea for a formula was a modified version of leren's. the guy who invented the first working webshooter:
-1/4 elmers glue
-1/4 cyanoacrylate
-1/4 anti-adhesive
-1/4 rubber cement
-3 tblspoons of salt & vinegar
tell me what you think of this formula. i still havent tested it. i know it wont be possible to actually swing from this. if i do, that'll count as a bonus!

Why? It'll melt!
No Symbiote-Man,I mean once its heated in the microwave 6-8 seconds(3-5 seconds if you want to be safe and without covering the formula with a lid or something) then you quickly take it out of the microwave and leave on the table to cool down(10 mins)then you stir it then cover the formula with the lid then leave leave it somewhere, make sure you don't leave anywhere you want.Put it there for 2 days and you're done.

I did tried Leren's formula and it worked pretty good and I used that formula for all my other prototypes.I'll try your formula out Because I going to modify my formula a bit.

great! can you post some pics of u making it if you can?
