Pffft - California rocks. We have the most beautiful women (of course, I'm partial to Latinas), the best weather, and a little bit of everything else. (Except for snow, snow sucks.)
Seriously, it's titillating how many non-Californians don't realize just how huge the state is, and subsequently how varied the climates are. I'm in the Valley, which is a majority of the state, and the worst we've ever received from an earthquake is seeing water tremble a bit in a glass.
There are literally NO natural disasters for the majority of the state: earthquakes affect less than 17% of California. The worst thing the majority of us have to worry about is "cold weather" during winter - in the vein of extremely low temperatures - around 45 degrees.
