I need to see There Will Be Blood dammit!
But I have to give a special mention to Jason Statham, he's gonna be the last old school hollywood legitimately tough guy we're gonna see for a while. He's just unlucky he's around in the time of Paul W.S. Anderson, Michael Bay and McG rather than the days of Sergio Leone, Peckinpah or even recent times of John McTiernan and (regularly working) James Cameron.
Next decade maybe...Sam Worthington!!!! He's the greatest actor of our time!!! Esquire said so!!!!
Personally I think he's more worthy of mention than Tom Hanks...I think if we're taking the decade as a whole, then Tom Cruise needs to be in the conversation. Not #1 certainly, but there's no question he had a better 2000 to 2007 than, say, Robert Downey Jr. Minority Report and Collateral mainly, but he had a solid string of hits, critically and financially.
Yeah, he needs to rehabilitate his public image some, but it's not like people stayed away from Mission: Impossible III or Valkyrie. Or that his turn in Tropic Thunder wasn't well received.
I lose my s*** everytime that line comes out...Tom Cruise deserves a mention for his role in Tropic Thunder alone. Was the most insane thing I've ever seen in a film.
"Why don't you take a step back, and literally **** YOUR OWN FACE!!!!!"
