We've seen two trailers. So what don't you like about this series?

Frankly, the last time Marvel had a show that lasted beyond 26 episodes, it was on Kid's WB (like it or not). MTV Spider-Man was done in 13 episodes and FF:WGH didn't even air all 26 episodes on CN. We'll see how well NickToons treats it, even if I'll be relying on DL.

But, even in those terms, Vile is correct that plenty of shows don't make it to 26 episodes.

true but x-men usually do the only failed x-men show was pryde of the x-men and that one only got 1 episode before being scraped the rest did good

True. X-MEN EVOLUTION was the last Marvel show that made it beyond 26 episodes. It lasted 4 seasons and 52 episodes. Even if it may never seen an overall good DVD release for the whole shebang.

I think Spectacular Spider-man has a shot at breaking that record. It's show runner is also Greg Weisman. GREG FREAKING WEISMAN!!!

from what i understand, spectacular spider-man has already been picked up for another season so that's 26 right there. this show looks pretty slick..i can't wait

I'm going to give this show a chance. I didn't think the direction X-Men Evolution took was a good idea, but I tried it, and I loved that show, so who knows. Being on Nicktoons was another "urgh", but then again, Nick did give us Avatar.

Like many others, I have to voice concern over Wolverine as the leader of the X-men. The marquee draw? Of course. The title billing? Okay. Making him the leader? Not only cripples the character of Cyclops and changes the team/characters' dynamics it takes away from Wolverine's initial appeal of being the edgy, doesn't-take orders-from-anyone type. This means that the James Dean on steroids becomes John Wayne in spandex and Duke from GI Joe with a built-in cannon becomes Dwight from "The Office." And the rest of them are going to be shuffled around that, otherwise the portrayals don't fit the plots.

Regardless, it looks to be a rather stocked 26 episodes and I wish they would kick it out now. They're doubtless holding out until the Wolverine origin movie and that's like waiting for Dark Knight to release Super Friends on DVD.

Exactly. Unlike many shows, which are mediocre at best in Season 1 and need another one (or two) to hit a stride, SS-M has hit a grand slam right out of the gate. It has the entire fanboy community on notice for greatness.

Indeed. I'm glad it has another season, although it is unknown whether it will air on CW 4Kids (where it debuted, formerly Kid's WB) or on 4Kids TV (the Fox Affiliate, where TMNT airs). It would make more sense to stay but, but as 4kids basically controls both channels, it doesn't matter. 26 episodes already makes SS-M the longest lasting Spidey cartoon since 1998, when the 90's ended (since MTV Spidey only lasted 13 episodes). If it sees beyond Season 3, it will surpass the last FF cartoon and then start to hit record episode counts. I really hope we get 5 seasons and 65 episodes; the 90's Spidey show has not aged too well and I wouldn't mind finally having a worthy successor.

I do share some of your concerns. It is like, "SNAKE EYES AND THE G.I. JOE's". There is a logic to centering around the character who is most popular and recognizable, but it brings with it flawed and annoyance. But the whole thing is moot now and I guess we will have to brace and see.

Has anyone seen the Hulk Vs. Wolverine animated direct to dvd movie trailer, it show Wolverine's mouth bleeding and his berserker rage.
You can find it on www.comics2film.com

I think I'm the only one who thinks this whole thing is badly drawn. It doesn't have the slickness off evolution. Its angular and awkward. The movement in the trailer looked stilted. All round it seems that it could do better. I hope the scripts are good and in its entire run however long that may be we get more than weapon x, phoenix and apocalypse as the big stories.

Im surprised no one mentioned this either . when i saw how they drew storm they made her look like a troll imo. as far as the actual tone of the show i was surprised by the preview but it looks as though the story will be more serious than the artstyle. It looks as though the story tone will be a little bit below the Justice League series and Gargoyles in terms of seriouness but just above the X Men Evolution series.

Well I think the animation from the third trailer looked pretty good.

my guess marukisu, is that TheVileOne mistook the "hulk vs wolverine" trailer for a new W:ATXM trailer. i could be wrong....

No there are three trailers.

Trailer 1 - leaked trailer with the Foo Fighters music.

Trailer 2 - first official trailer

Trailer 3 - short trailer with the action footage.

oh ya, i forgot about the foo fighters trailer....sorry bout that vileone. how did that lawsuit end up anyway?

I dunno. My guess it will be some sort of settlement.

You see, you always hear about the start of these stories, but seldom see how they finish.

i was kind of shocked to hear that the foofighters were pressing charges in the first place...i wonder if it came from the Label more than them...

Probably the label. But the thing is, the trailer did get all over the internet, and the music was not cleared unfortunately :( .

I just don't see how they can make Rogue nearly as cool as she was in Evolution. But I bet they can try. Whatever happens, I'm sure she'll be better than TAS Rogue. Anything's better than that.

hehe.

I liked both Rogues. This one will be different and she'll have her own charm, I suppose.
