BvS What Batman gadgets do you want to see in the film?

I am against the glider cape. It's just too much for me, and gives Bats an ability I just don't associate with him in the least, Nolan be damned.

Which is interesting, would you associate Batman with something like a grappler gun (not exactly executed like B1989), or is that too Spider-Man-y?

And I love it. I remember this. I just hope for something new as far as his main weapon. Burton had the gun, Nolan had the gun, hell I'd be ok if they went back to source material and he just threw the damn thing like in the early comics. Not really but you know what I mean...

The gun, which was integrated into the mythos more or less with Burton's film and REALLY cemented into it with B:TAS (in high school I so wanted on. What a great way to leave a party. "I got run peeps. You got a balcony upstairs, right?") but I don't consider it akin to Spider-Man's web shooter, just a practical sort of update. Now, call this hypocritical if you will, but the glider cape seems to give him something akin to a bona fide super power (see surviving falling out of a penthouse with Racheal in tow in TDK, :oldrazz: :woot: :word:) I keed, I keed.... But for me, I don't think flight when I think of Batman. Period. But YMMV.

Actually, I don't think it's hypocritical. I can understand why you wouldn't associate gliders with Batman since it's weird to give him something that would make him seem metahuman (I liked it in Nolan's film though, so bring on a new interpretation).

It'd be interesting if Snyder went the more comics-traditional approach in regards to the grappler gun. Though that might mean a CGI Batman.

Come on though! Who doesn't want to see Batman gliding really high up in the air than all of a suddon, BAM, dive bombs!

Hasn't he always glided????
Would make sense for a guy named after a flying creature to have some sort of flying ability.

"I am Fish-Man"
"Can you swim?"
"Actually no...I'm deathly afraid of water."

I thought Batman could originally glide. Can't remember where exactly but I saw a documentary that stated that Batman's cape unfolded into a rigid hang glider type thing. Even if that's not true the grapnel gun slowly segued itself into comics why can't the glider cape?

And it's not like the glider cape can be used all the time. It's not exactly the fastest or most efficient mode of transportation. If implemented in the movie it should be used like in the Arkham games. Short glides and parachuting. Though i wouldn't mind using the glider cape with the grapnel boost. And I would die if snyder used the grapnel boost takedown or the glide boost attack.

Some high-tech forensic equipment (in the Batcave) would be nice. Can't let Marvel's Iron Man have all the fun!

They did seem to portray Supes as getting smarter as he settles into his powers in MOS, so as many as possible, pulled off in cool ways...especially if it can get a look from Superman in the movie that seems like "Damn, that was too slick!" as he is surprised and impressed.

I really don't think gliding was ever a part of the deal until Nolan. Really. Can we get some pages from the 80's and 90's WHO'S WHO for a ruling on this in here?

Exploding Batarangs
Remote control Batarangs
Grapple gun
Bolas
Holographic Gauntlet Batcomputer interface
Hypersonic weapon (With a trigger on the gauntlet like in Injustice)
Mini plasma cutter
Net launcher
Taser brass knuckles, or built into the gauntlets
Gliding cape
Smoke bombs
Sonar
Nightvision and thermal lenses
Remote control for the Batmobile
Tranq darts
EMP/Chaff grenades
Flash bangs
Master/skeleton/bump key
Batclaw attachment for grapel
CSI kit
Cuffs
Rebreather
Tracer dots
Bat calling device

Nice ! Great list. Batman really tends to use some of his more impressive gadgets only once (I'm thinking about the Bat-call and the sonar image device) why not bring some of them back ?

I did like Nolan's gadgets in TDK, the retractable cape, sticky bombs and the sonar imager (which I thought was one of the highlights of Nolan's touches of brilliance, because it was just part of the greater question of the moral validity of Batman's actions).

In TDKR there was the EMP gun, but really, that lame smoke bomb that Bats threw at Bane......please, just because Batman was weak and out of shape, shouldn't mean his gadgets were too. Although I suppose the Bat was the big gadget, and I for one loved it.

I suppose the Bat-armour, which he used to take on Superman in Dark Knight Returns, would be good.

Still, Batman should be a combination of gadgets and physical prowess. But because he engages either super-powered opponents or multiple human opponents at once, gadgets make sense.

I'm hoping for lots of them.

Hey what about some Bat-holographic camoflague or a stealth device ?

As an actual GLIDER, not as part of the costume. In YEAR ONE he has an actual glider but there is no mention of it being part of the suit's capabilities. If Batman flies using a Batcopter, a BatGlider or a Bat-AutoGyro fine. But having it as a touch of his fingers ability misses the point of the most human of all heroes to me. Why not just do away with the swinging all together and make him Night-Hawkman (Owl-Man?) and stop pussyfooting around? He can fly all over and he doesn't need the car at all.

For myself, as I said, like with Iron Man's "hidden in my bones nano armor and power to control technology with my mind" or WW's "unlimited weapons cache in my bracelets" it's just too much for me. And I am well aware that the concept of "too much" seems silly when talking about Comic Book Superheroes, but that's my view.

He's not flapping his cape and flying around. Being able to glide off roofs doesn't make the grapple gun, batwing, and batmobile obsolete. It didn't in The Dark Knight Trilogy and the Asylum games.

I like the gliding cape. But the wingspan would have to be 6+ meters in order for him to actually glide the way he does in the Arkham games.
I'm fine seeing him doing some basic gliding or using the cape to slow his falling speed though.

:pal: Gotta love those Arkham moves!

If he had all of this stuff where would you put it all? That belt could only hold so much...

I'm hoping he has some high tech stuff in and out of the cave. He's a billionaire and pretty damn smart detective.

While not truly a gadget, I want a Batcave that has a big Joker card, giant Penny etc. maybe a Robin costume in a glass case and as a nice Easter egg how about all the previous Batmobiles in the background.
