What DC movie would you like them to do with Joker-like style?

Toyman as a creepy race against the clock thriller

Scarecrow as a horror film taking place on a University campus with his young students being the protagonists

Catwoman as an Entrapment / Thomas Crown Affair like heist, "big score" film pitting her against the FBI and The Falcone crime family.

Mr Freeze- A tragic love and revenge story taking place in the 1950s ala the Shape of Water

WB make all of these happen, stat.

We’ve yet to see a definitive Two-Face portrayal. We never really saw the duality in Eckhart’s version. I want full on multiple personalities.

A really fun movie could be made about Two-Face. If they can’t use Batman, I’d make The Judge the antagonist of the film.

The somewhat disappointing thing about The Dark Knight for me was that the Two Face story did seem to have potential to be more. He tied into the Joker very nicely and Eckhart was an excellent casting having that mix of charisma and arrogance. Maybe a film with Dent prosecuting Phoenix's Fleck?

If they wanted to link in with Phoenix's Joker then besides Batman the other obvious choice is Harley Quinn I spose, especially if Birds of Prey doesn't do well. I do actually think that could have potential for a film with similar impact to Joker, if that film cast the lead character as a believable mentally ill lone wolf killer then perhaps Harley could really play up her as a cult member turned abuser?

I think if they take any lesson from Joker though I think it should be how key casting is, not casting to fill a role but finding a role for someone talented who hasn't broken though yet. I mean Phoenix was the most obvious example of that, who you'd cast for a version of Harley might not be so easy. I think it would need to be someone who can bring the same kind of intensity as Phoenix rather than a "kook", maybe Lea Seydoux? she's been threatening to break though for a few years and certainly does intensity well.

After thinking about it, Margot Robbie’s Harley is really not very good
I’d be more than ok with a rebooted version in Todd Phillips’ universe.

Robbie's a good actress but the films tone does obviously seem to be pushing the characters kookiness above everything else and I wonder how much of a shelf life that really has beyond one film.

If they do a Joker sequel I could actually see a recast Harley playing into that as it would allow them to keep the film as the same kind of character study the original was. Joker/Fleck doesn't have the potential for the same arc but she would do.

I just finished watching The Poughkeepsie Tapes. If a DC Black horror movie gets made about Joker and his relationship with Harley then that would be the movie to base it on. Not the same Joker as Joaquin's. Would be too disturbing to get that same one billion that Joker did though.

As others have suggested & it's been asked about in several other related threads, Lex Luthor would be a good choice if you're trying to go for something loosely similar in terms of real world relatable problems like Joker IMO.

Honestly Lex is just as crazy as Joker, he just has better publicity. That's always been established in the books.

I'd argue Luthor (leaving aside marketability, obviously) would make for a more compelling solo act than Joker. Although I don't think it would work without Superman on the periphery.

Basically something like Azzarrello's Luthor.

Remember this article from THR? It’s a speculative article about a Todd Phillips Lex Luthor film. It was a follow up to this report from 2019 which mentioned that Phillips secured the rights to tackle another DC villain.

I think we’ll be hearing about more DC villain spin-offs soon, and I think Luthor will be one of them. Todd Phillips’ friend and Hangover star Bradley Cooper was one of the producers on Joker, I’d love to see him in the role. Maybe even use this Luthor in the JJ Abrams/Coates movie?

I'd be over the moon for a Luthor character piece. He's one of the great supervillains and has really never been done full justice on screen before. But I'm not sure Todd Phillips is the right guy to do it.

If it has to be a villain, I’d say Ras Al Ghul. Otherwise Spectre.

Also, I’ve been reading a lot of Milestone Comics lately and I’ve decided that I need an Icon and Rocket movie
