That's actually Harry as Hobgoblin.
That's right. My bad.
That's actually Harry as Hobgoblin.
Link?So if I'm understanding Webb's recent interview correctly, all the stuff with Electro got shoved in to make it less obvious they were going to kill Gwen Stacy?
Seriously?
CA:TFA was decent (7/10), TIH was okay (6.7/10), T:TDW was okay (6.7/10), IM2 was meh (6.5/10), Thor was mediocre (6/10) and Avengers was awful (4/10). At least that's how I feel about them, of course.
Link?
"We were very careful to adhere to that. I think in this movie, we reverse engineered everything from that event. We knew that the Goblin had to do it, but who the Goblin was, I think we had some leeway because there was a precedent in the comics that Harry actually did turn into the Goblin, but we wanted to kind of withhold that. We knew if we just made him the only villain, the cat would've been out of the bag."

I didn't like the drawn out boring scenes, Peter barely giving a crap about Uncle Ben, where did Electro get his costume from (didn't bother me really but it's lol), the short amount of Goblin time (loved him overall though). Need to tighten things up and vastly improve part 3.
!. Kafka
2. Rhino suit
3. Rhino accent
4. Rhino shouting
5. all Max before he becomes electro
6. the kid at the end
7. no mention or business regarding finding Ben's killer
8. everybody treating the first Electro fight like a show
9. Kafka
10. Harry assuming Peter knew Spidey
11. Harry getting ousted as CEO--is that mandatory for every CBM?
12. Generic evil businessman Mecnken
13. who built the hidden subway car?
14. Does May know or not?
15. So he works for JJJ but we don't get to see him?
16. He gets hit by a fast moving SUV and doesn't feel it, but getting hit by a 5 ounce metal bar hurts him?
17. Standard 'crazy people cover their walls with clippings' tripe.
18. "lick this"---yeah lick this & I ain't talking bout my hand
19. Goofing around while Giamatti plows thru traffic
20. Comb over--that means he's goofy--tee-hee
21. magic appearing/disappearing pants
22. electric eels cure gap tooth
23. lack of hand to hand combat---again
24. editing
25. slow parts
26. Kafka replacing an actual interesting comic character
27. no mid/post credits scene relating TO THIS MOVIE FRANCHISE
28. Director too much a ***** to tell Giamatti to tone it done for take 2
29. Director too much a ***** to tell Fox his character's origin is slowing down the movie too much and has to be trimmed.
30. Director too stupid to have Kafka's lines dubbed in post to something not 100% asinine.
31. Not cutting Kafka out completely and just stating that Oscorp is holding/experimenting on Max. save 3 minutes.
32. Having Cooper have 3 minutes and Fox have 25
33. what has peter been doing since his uncle died besides selling a few photos--he is a science genius.
34. Stan cameo lame--from best to near worst between 1 and 2
35. Garfield supposed to be 18?
36. Powers come from his dad's secret DNA plan---make origin even worse.
37. Aunt may nurse sub-plot? Okay they needed to placate Field.
38. Why were the two planes ever at the exact same altitude--that's really rare. Plus they have collision beacons aside from what the ground tells them, right?
39. What's the advantadge of a "tank-suit"--is it more nimble than an actual tank--just with a lot less fire power.
40. only 3 Spidey - super villain battles---two of which were connected. Two hours twenty one minutes and 3 battles? and they were short.
41. Spidey and the vials---fuuuuunnny---not so much.
42. Flash? Betty/Robbie/Ned---oh right they can't decide on JJJ so we lose those too.
Sure. But do those powers have much effect on Spider-Man? Nope. Even at the end of the film when he's being pummelled with electricity, he still comes out pretty OKAY.I don't think it's the only reason they have Electro in the film. In other interviews Webb mentioned that he wanted Spider-Man to have an adversary who had powers greater than his, and Electro is God-like in his powers. That and visually remarkable, something like that.

I've also read people say that thebirth of Electro is corny.
Nobody complained when they did pretty much THE SAME THING in The Spectacular Spider-Man.

Cat out of the bag? So what? You're going to screw the whole movie over into a jumbled mess just to TRY to keep the climactic twist (that everyone and their mothers saw coming in the first place) a secret? The revelation that the GG was in the film in the first place kinda let the cat out of the bag, didn't it? Also the fact that the "surprise twist" was spoiled two months before the films release...
So now that the cat IS out of the bag, can we ask the question: Was it really worth it? I'd say no. The "surprise" is revealed and the movie is still of overall poor quality. I think I've been giving these guys too much credit here...
well, in this one it wasreally corny because of Jamie Foxx's delivery in the scene, especially the way he acts the "being electrocuted" part, it almost looks like one of those "acting like he's getting electrocuted as a joke" gags. Which even further emphasizes his already cartoony over the top design, not to mention the birthday song where he stretches the part with his name like "MaaaAaaAaaAAaaAaAx", which really pulled attention to the dumb gap in his teeth
weirdly enough I loved the movie, but the little annoying things like what I just said have no right to be in the movie imo but since everything else is so damn good you can kinda tolerate and ignore it
WOW!
I must ask what did you rate the movie out of 10?
That's really a shame. The moment should come out of the story, not the other way around.
