lol

allthough i think aquamans biggest defeat might be being trapped in that pool in obisidian age

I say for Aquaman its getting his hand eaten by pirahnas (give me a cookie if I spelled that right)

Or his son being killed. Never read the story, but you can assume.

And for the Flash I'd probably say when Zoom snapped his fingers, but with the use of time travel that was set right. So maybe I'll say when Barry was made a murderer when he snapped the Reverse Flashs neck.

Superman-Doomsday
Batman-Jason Todd
Wonder Woman-Killing Max Lord
Green Lantern (any)-Geoff Johns
The Flash (any)-Wally, when Zoom showed him killing Linda and the kids over and over again
Aquaman-Losing his hand
Nightwing/Robin- Being raped.

Superman - Being forced to kill the Kryptonian criminals. (He won the battle, but they won the war. Took him years to get over it.)

Batman - Bane

Flash - When Barry killed Zoom

GL - When Hal went schizo, I mean, when Hal got possessed by a fear demon.

Aquaman - Whatever the hell happened that turned him into amnesiac squid boy.

Nightwing - Date raped by a chick.

Doomsday.

Though if we were counting Superman in all media... Darkseid brainwashing him and turning nearly everyone in Metropolis against him in the animated series finale, "Legacy", was pretty humiliating.

The Death Of Jason Todd.

Wonder Woman

No idea.

Green Lantern (any)

Hal Jordan's turn to Parallax.

John's verbal b***slapping at the hands of J'onn, for destroying an entire planet. I think. It's been awhile since I read that particular moment.

Kyle... well, I might aswell go with Phere and add Johns in somewhere, since I don't really know Kyle's greatest defeat. :o

Kilowag's greatest defeat has to be the fact that Hal is more popular than him. :csad:

The Flash (any)

Not sure. Though with Jay, it'd probably be recieving the news that Joan had cancer.

No idea.

Nightwing/Robin

With Nightwing, either his wedding to Kory being ruined by Dark Raven, or when he was... er... raped after failing to stop Tarantula from killing Blockbuster. That was definatley a dark day for ole' Shortpants. :o

Robin... Well, his biggest defeat had to be the entire year Pre-OYL. He lost Connor, Stephanie, and his father within the same year.

...

I gotta start reading Aquaman...

That happened back in the early 80s. That was the begining of Aquaman's badassification. Since then he's declaired war against Japan, ***** slapped Martian Manhunter (who, at the time, he thought was Superman), beat the holy hell out of Deathstroke, out telepathed two Martians, mind controlled a giant earth elemental, and benched an entire city block.

Superman - getting killed obviously
Batman - Brother Eye turning on him
Wonder Woman - Having to kill Max Lord
Green Lantern (any)
Kyle Rayner - I think the death of his girlfriend Alex was both his first defeat and his biggest.
The Flash (any) -
Barry Allen - the Crisis, though he wasn't really defeated, he sacrificed himself
Wally West - Losing his kids because of Zoom
Aquaman - Losing his hand
Nightwing/Robin -
Nightwing - Letting Blockbuster die
Robin - Getting his ass handed to him by Jason Todd. Was a pretty sweet moment though.

can someone give details of the date rape thing with nightwing

From what I remember, Nightwing took a female vigilante named Tarantula under his watch in order to better her ways. They both hunted down Blockbuster in attempt to, what Dick thought, was capture him and turn him into the police. But Tarantula ended up murdering him. Nightwing then went into a big, on the spot depression, blaming himself for what happened and making his way to the rooftop of the building they were in. Admist Nightwing's depression, Tarantula took advantage of him, forcing him into sex on the rooftop.

so assume Nightwing partially wanted to have sex, since he got hard enough to do so.

Dude, this is a comic book. The situation was not that explicit. Nightwing was messed up and Tarantula took advantage of that.

Superman - Doomsday
Batman - Emperor Joker
Wonder Woman - don't know
Green Lantern (any) - don't know
The Flash (any) - Zoom II
Aquaman - don't know, don't care
Nightwing/Robin - don't know, don't care

Superman- As easy as it would be to say Doomsday, I'm going to have to go with him being forced to kill the pocket-universe Zod and his cronies. It tore him up for a long, long time, and I really wish DC would utilize that particular angle now that Zod is back in continuity.

Batman- Hands-down, the death of Jason Todd and the crippling of Barbara Gordon. Here are two people that Bruce had brought up to be his heirs, training them to be able to take on anything that Gotham could throw at them, brought in as one of the handful of people that Batman genuinely trusts...and they both get taken out by the same guy. Just goes to show how much of a bastard Joker can be.

Wonder Woman- Tough one, but her killing Max Lord has definitely scored some negative points with everyone else in the superhero community. For the first time, the other capes really don't know if they can trust her, and that was one of her biggest assets as a JLAer.

Green Lantern (any)-
Alan Scott- the death of Jade during Infinite Crisis
Hal Jordan- going looney/being possessed by Parallax
Guy Gardner- being Batman's whipping-boy in the JLI
John Stewart- J'onn verbally handing him his own ass
Kyle Rayner- finding his girlfriend in the refrigerator

The Flash (any)-
Jay Garrick- finding out that Joan had cancer
Barry Allen- Professor Zoom killing Iris, and then killing Zoom himself
Wally West- Zoom showing his family getting killed over and over
Bart Allen- I never followed Bart enough for a good one here

Aquaman- definitely Black Manta murdering his son

Nightwing- losing Blockbuster and getting raped seems to be the popular choice here

Robin-
Dick- see above
Jason- getting murdered by the Joker
Tim- hearing his father get killed over the phone in Identity Crisis

Batman- I would have to agree with most people and go with the Bane thing, not so much because of his back being broken since it was because of extenuating circumstances, but rather because he chose Jean Paul and how that backfired on him.
Wonder Woman- Losing her mantle to Artemis. I can't think of anything more humiliating than her loss to a more violent hero and then going down a darker path herself. The 90's seriously facked Diana over.:(
Green Lantern- What sent Hal over the edge: losing Coast City. But Alan has to have it the worst with having to deal with being an absent father and all the stuff his children have gone through. Having to be Jade's father is enough of a loss to trump all others.:D:up:
The Flash- Barry being forced to kill Zoom. He got acquitted, but that was a very different generation and having to do what he did.....:o
Aquaman- Arthur Jr.'s death WAS one of his greatest. I'd also consider when his subjects turned his back on him, left him to die and when that didn't work, exiled him from the ocean.
Nightwing/Robin- Definitely being raped by Tarantula.

Getting "raped" buy a woman is buy far the lowest moment in any male superheros career. Everytime someone mentions his life story, they will say," he was the robin that got raped buy a woman as an adult".:woot:

Just because the body wants it doesn't mean the brains/heart wants it. Arousal can be generated by simply pressuring certain points. The rape of man does occur (although not anywhere near the number of females being raped). Seriously, just by touching a few nerve endings near your penis, the fattest most ugly woman could get you aroused. All it really is in the end after all is blood being pumped into your little buddy.
