What do you consider to be the biggest defeat by the following DC heroes?

Tarantula drugged him. It wasn't Nightwing "falling into a catatonic state".

Did she drug him? I thought he just had a short emotional breakdown.

that's exactly why it's a defeat! he lost against them! he did everything he stood against to, he executed three (now) harmless men (well, two men and a woman) even thou two of them asked for mercy. he was so scared even thou he'd allready beated them that he killed them...now that's not something superman would usually, is it?

At the end of Nightwing #93 (2003), after Tarantula killed Blockbuster, she and Nightwing had sex on a rooftop. At the time Nightwing was in shock and undergoing deep emotional trauma; there has thus been debate amongst fan as to his consent, and if Nightwing was in fact raped by Tarantula. [1] [2] [3] Devin Grayson herself has stated that although it was nonconsensual, it was not rape, a seeming paradox. This is further confused by the script for Nightwing #93 specifically mentioning (in parentheses) that this scene was a rape.


I say rape.

Its clear it was rape, why write that in the script, then she changed her tune in the controversy to follow.

The fact that the writer intended it as rape and that it was basically shown to be non-consentual makes this one pretty clear to me too.
