The Dark Knight What do you think should happen in the next Batman film?

Michael Jackson should be cast as The Joker and we should have a "Christmas with The Joker" scene...

I don't read this board much and post even less. That being said, how many years after BB do you expect this film to take place? Really we saw Barbara Gordon in BB, she looked all of maybe 11 months old. How much older is Dick than her? One year, two...

Yes, Robin is part of the story. That being said they shot themselves in the foot with BB. He turned 30 in that movie. Big mistake in my mind. Bat's should be ageless. Anyway. Richard Grayson in the time line of the things we have seen should be two or three years old. How far along do you want to move the time line in the next film? Move to fast, miss a lot of story just to have a 10 to 13 year old Richard Grayson. As it stands right now, it would never work.

Sorry, but I feel the need to correct people whenever this mistake is made. It's very likely that the baby you saw was not Babs Gordon, but James Gordon Jr.

In the graphic novel Batman: Year One, Gordon is still with his first wife, Barbara and he has a son, James Jr, who's only a baby. In current continuity, Babs Gordon (Batgirl) is the Commissioner's neice (his brother's wife I believe), who he adopted after her parents died. There is, however, speculation that Babs is his daughter, and that Gordon had an affair with his brother's wife.

So if these films are following modern continuity, then it's very likely that the baby you see is James Jr, not Babs (and the Barbara Gordon listed in the credits is his wife). Perhaps in a sequel Barbara can be introduced as a young teenager.

Death should happen.

When you boil it down, Christian Bale is Batman now. And Bale is not ageless, he's 32. So if Bale = Batman and Bale does not = ageless, then logic requires that Batman does not = ageless.

re: his age, I'd like to see them shoot 2 films at once with this. Have Dent emerge and get wasted at the end of this film and segue directly into Two Face for the third flick. Keep the continuity up and get some of these movies made before everyone gets too old.

I prefer not to do this kind of thing because fanboys tend to end up obsessing about the things they wanna see and then they kind of dismiss great things they get because it wasn´t what they pictured in their heads. I´d rather be pleasantly surprised.

I like a batman who's older than me. This is what drove Frank Miller to write DKR....batman was too eternally young. That's a bad thing IMO. Batman works very well as a seasoned vet. While I wouldnt be surprised if they shot 2 and 3 B2B I think it will be because its a continuation of the Harvey Dent story and not because they're worried abut Bale getting old.

I don't personally care about age. But i don't think Bale is going to want to commit year after year to making Batman pics. So I say get everything you can out of him while he's still into it.

good point, but I think he's pretty into it, so he might be willing to do it for a while.

Once again, slow on the up take but you really should check the film credits.

If a mod see's this, sorry for digging up something long dead but I have been sick and in the hospital.

wow, that's some amazing make-up technique, getting a 30-something actor to look like a newborn baby. How did they do that, I wonder.

Sarcasm aside, the Barbara Gordon that's credited is not the baby, it's Gordon's wife. IMDB only has a little info about her, but her earliest credited role is 1998. Also, Gordon's wife in the comics was named Barbara.

Why dont you do a little research before you accuse me of being "slow on the uptake".

I want to see Bruce having depression of split personality and problems with his psyhology. It would be very intersting.

The problem with this is that instead of hating the Joker and feeling empathy for Bruce we will we celebrating and turn the Joker into a hero.

NO ROBIN, NO BATGIRL and others from BAT-family, except Alfred and Batman himself.

The funny part is that the guy is still free.
*shudders* Well, one thing that is unintentionally funny was in one of the Joker threads, where someone described Joker as someone whose face would be bleached, unnaturally, with veins like a deformity, and there should be a reason he wears lipstick and whatnot...the way he described his version of Joker lined up pretty closely with Michael Jackson. Kinda sad.
