What Does Everyone Think Of The IMDB Top 250?

Yeah it's pretty good I guess. Like most of the movies in the top 250.

I agree that LOTR should be much lower. I like the films and all (well, I've only seen the first one), but come on, they haven't had the impact that many of those other films have had.

Like I said, I have my own Top 100 that is vastly different from IMDB's rankings of those movies.

Now we're even, you lost credibility with me with your first statement(not that credibility matters to me anyway, since I don't really put any in others either).

As for impact, the only thing that matters is how much impact a film has on each viewer, since that's what determines quality.

The Godfather films are obscenely overrated.

Not many, and certainly not the 3 that were mentioned.

I've never been more in awe of the filmmaking than I was when I first saw those, but hey, each to his own.

This is, of course, a matter of opinion, and as the wise Clint Eastwood said, "Opinions are like asscracks: everybody has one."

OF COURSE people are gonna rant: "This is list is stupid! why isn't (insert name of movie they like the most) on that list! That is bull!"

The thing is, probably that movie that is on YOUR Top 100 list is not gonna be on the Top 100 list of everybody else here.

For example: I think "Battle Royale" is a disgusting, gross, Eli Roth-like piece of garbage. But the pint is: that's just MY opinion.


So you can't say that the list is stupid just because one movie is ranked higher or lower than the other, or because one movie wasn't featured in the list.
