With the success of Captain Marvel fresh in the air I thought this would be an interesting topic.

It seems like we are finally getting past a stage where female superhero movies are known for being utterly terrible, train wrecks likes Catwoman and Elektra seem to be a thing of the past. With the likes of Wonder Woman and now Captain Marvel showing these movies can be just as successful as their male lead counterparts and Birds of Prey & a highly anticipated Black Widow movie coming in the next few years.

Now with in mind I thought it would be interesting to see what list of female superhero's you would like to see most helm their own film. (Don't have it give a list if their is just one specific character you would like to see)

Rogue

One of the X-Men characters that I always felt didn't quite get done justice under the Fox banner was Rogue. Not a personal knock on Paquin it just felt that the character was sort of slotted in without that much concern and just sort of stayed in the background after the first movie. With an upcoming return to Disney soon to be done I think it could be the right time for them to give her own movie. Not only could it be a visually stunning experience with Rogue taking powers from multiple individuals but since Captain Marvel has already been introduced they could easily do a different take on Rogue absorbing her powers.

Barbara Gordon

I think quite a lot of people on here know already that Batman is my favourite superhero so it comes as no surprise that one of the female superheroes I would like to see is under the bat-family banner. What I think could make for a truly interesting focal point of a movie would be her conflicting relationships with Bruce and her father. Having her conflict between whether Bruce's brand of vigilante justice or her father Jim's strict following of the law is the way to go and likely finding her own happy medium somewhere in between.

Spider-Woman

Now today I came across a list of all the Sony Spider-Man films in some stage of development, safe to say there was a lot. One noticeable absence however was Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew would make for a welcome addition to Sony's Spider-Man universe they are trying to create. With a power set different enough to make her interesting and one of the more striking costumes out there Drew could be a little lesser known character who could make a big splash, I mean web.

Which female characters would you like to see?

On the Marvel side of things, I'd like to see actually good adaptations of Kitty Pryde and Susan Richards.

On the DC side of things, my main wish is to see a good take on Oracle, though I admit its pretty close to hopeless.

Hawkgirl (my big comics crush!)
Supergirl
Batgirl
Power Girl
Caitlin Fairchild
Barda
Looker (as a vampire)
Boodikka
Zatanna
Shiva (not exactly a hero, I know)

Not saying that all of these could helm their own film, but it's my dream wish-list.

She-Hulk
Spider-Gwen
Mayday Parker
MCU version of Storm
Gwenpool
Kamala Khan (who I like far better than Carol)

I'll just say "Any of the X-Women"
as none have yet been done justice on film

The REAL versions of them. Storm depicted as a beautiful goddess with flowing white hair and actual character development and Rogue flying around, knocking Sentinels out and calling people 'sugah'.

Those two alone with their backstories could make great movies that FOX didn't even try to attempt.

I was always hoping for an X-Men Origins: Storm movie :csad:

Fairchild (Gen13) - my first comic book and I honestly want an adaptation
Classic Rogue (90s animated series) - give me that instead of captain femarvel.
She-Hulk - if Marvel decides to rework MCU, she can replace Banner

Songbird/Moonstone - I love the old Thunderbolts comics and these are the two most important members of the team and essentially the leads of the series. These are the probably the two characters period that I want to see on the big screen the most. Throw Jolt in there too for that matter, although she's not quite at the level of the other two.

Nico Minoru - Has a live-action television show, but still one of my favorite characters and I'd love to see her on the big screen someday.

Starfire - Likewise. At least Nico's show is better.

Firestar - Bring on the live-action Spider-Friends movie!

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) - An obvious one, tied up in rights issues.

Zatanna - DC really needs to get started on this one.

Well the one that I want the most is already happening, and that’s Birds of Prey, so I’ll take that off the table.

Aside from that? I think a Spider Gwen solo animated movie spun off from Into the Spiderverse would be great.

Would LOVE a Kamala Khan movie.

Any of the top female x men could certainly hold their own.

X-MEN
Psylocke
Storm
Jean Grey
Rogue
Emma Frost
Shadowcat
Jubilee
Polaris
Dazzler
Marrow
Sage

NEW MUTANTS
Mirage
Karma
Wolfsbane
Magik
Magma

MUTANT VILLAINS
Vertigo
Spiral
Unuscione
Destiny
Selene
Lady Deathstrike
Callisto
Frenzy
Tempo

X-FACTOR
M
Siryn

X-FORCE
Domino
Boom Boom
Feral

SOLO FILM TRILOGY
Spider-Woman
She Hulk

SONYVERSE
Black Cat
Silver Sable
Silk

Zatanna.

Perfect way to do a back door introduction to the Vertigo imprints, and she’s a very cool character.

VIXEN, JESSICA CRUZ, HAWKGIRL and ZATANNA. That way we can have all the main JL females in live action on the big screen. We already have Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Mera and Katana, so bring on the other 4!

Aeon Flux.

I don't count that abomination with Charlize Theron as a true adaptation.

-Batgirl (the real Barbara Gordon one, this time! :o ).

-I'd be open to Black Cat if she was part of the MCU (probably closer to the Ultimate take given they're keeping Peter in high school), but not as a solo.

-Kitty Pryde, Storm, and Rogue done right. (I actually think Jean Grey is getting her due, whether DP is a good movie or not remains to be seen...)

-Zatanna

-I actually think Anya Taylor-Joy would/will make an excellent Magik, so I hope we actually see that movie someday.

-Just throwing it out there I'd like to see more of Dafne Keen's AMAZING X-23 (better than the comic book version) and more of Zazie Beetz's Domino, but I'm doubtful on either.

-A solo movie for Hailee Steinfeld's Spider-Gwen after Spider-Verse.

Monica Rambeau. Always preferred her to Carol anyway.

Elsa Bloodstone. Hard R action horror in the vein of Blade. But with a hot tempered Brit red head.

Cass Cain. Such an awesome character. Would be interesting to see how well a mute protagonist is portrayed.

Kamala Khan

Spider-Gwen, Oracle/Batgirl, Black Canary (if the BOP version isn’t garbage, and maybe Vixen.
