I think it would be a very film noir-type film like Se7en.

I was hoping he would direct Batman Forever.

Se7en was very much like Year One.

Fincher would be perfect to adapt Year One.

Fincher would be perfect to adapt Year One.

Batman Begins already took some of the best parts of Year One, the Batman/Gordon team up to clean the streets of crime for instance.

Anyway, Fincher's adaptation of Year One would be good.

Fincher would be a great choice, his only dud film for me was really Panic Room. Not bad but not up to the quality of the others (even Alien3 I like)

Would be interesting to see his take on a Batman project.

I always saw The Riddler as a mixture of Zodiac and John Doe, I know purist fans would argue that point but it would be an interesting story I would love to see.

year one would work well, if you take elements of B Button and Seven you would have an amazing film, but I can see him doing an adaptation of The Killing Joke or Brian Azzarello's Joker

He would be better than Nolan IMO.I hope he takes over for the new series after Batman 3

After Nolan's done with his Batman series, then maybe in the future Fincher can direct his own Batman series but otherwise if Nolan doesn't come back to direct Batman 3 then Fincher can be a good replacement.

I wouldn't mind if they replaced him now. He'd make a good Batman movie I'm sure. Which is good because usually his movies are from the hero's point of view. Something TDK was missing in most parts. Am I the only one who is interested in seeing how Batman works and appears, while only looking at Batman from the bad guy's point of view just when Batman is about to appear.

I agree.I liked BB and TDK but I'm a bit sick of Nolan's Batman

BB was very much from Batman's point of view but TDK.... not so much, disappointingly.

You're Batman fan you won't be sick of BB & TDK. You enjoy different takes on the character.

^The only takes on Batman that I don't like is the campy version and Frank Miller's maniac version from TDKR, TDKSA and ASB&R

TDKR is classic but I didn't like TDKSA either.

In a Fincher Batman film, I think there would definitely be a scene where it's heavily raining and Batman is sitting on the rooftop gargoyle.

There were scenes in Se7en where it was heavily raining.

Well we did see Batman in the rain in BB when he's talking to Flass. Either way it would sweet to see Batman in the rain.

Well,as Grant Morrison puts it,"I'm watching the gay Batman!"

I don't like the idea of an adaptation of TDKR, I think it's very overrated and I never liked the ruthless maniac characterization of Batman.

That's just my opinion, not everyone has to agree with it.

I think Fincher should be a replacement for Nolan's third film or start his own Batman film series, once Nolan is done.

I like the Dirty Harry mania Batman in the comics. It fits his age better. Older people do tend to get crazy, most of them. So it fits his personality.
