Can there be any doubt? That's not a criticism of the movie, but I think even the biggest fan of X3 would have to say that it's Singer's franchise, and not having him finish it really hurts the end product.

George Lucas initially asked David Lynch to direct Return of the Jedi.
David Lynch said the "teddy bears" turned him off and declined.
I wish David Lynch would've gone ahead and directed it. That would be insane.

I wish Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg had directed the Star Wars Prequels.
I wish Sam Raimi directed the Fantastic Four instead of Spider-Man and James Cameron had done Spider-Man.

I wish Ron Howard and M. Night were directing sitcoms and made for TV movies.
