Superman Returns What if Jason was a girl?

They could explain the kid with some extremely mental scenario regarding the disappearance of Superman, the Eradicator, and the survival of the Kryptonian heritage.

Also, a girl would've been preferable because at least that way they could retcon in some hot Supergirl spin-off action.

Hey, wooooah there. We're trying to explain him OUT of Superman continuity, not VALIDATE his existence.

Every other idea pretty much sucks ass. Jason dying sucks ass because it would make Lois a bereaving mother, a massive step backwards from the spunky reporter she should be. Jason losing his powers is still gonna be the SON OF SUPERMAN! regardless and leaving things as they are solves nothing.

At least some wacky plot involving existing characters of Superman's mythology could at least provide some entertainment to the otherwise ******ed notion of Superman having a son at all.

First things first, calm down a little.

Secondly, he wouldn't just "lose his powers", he would be HUMAN. He may still be Superman's son, but he would be normal. He can then let Jason go, to be raised by Richard, and if that's where it is going permanently, Lois too.

It's funny how a logical notion such as the one I presented "sucks ass", but you turn around and want some "wacky plot" to "entertain" you.

IT is pointless to get rid of the kid else if BS did that then it would have been pointless brining in the kid story into return anyways.

The only correct thing you said in your run-on sentence was "it would have been pointless brining in the kid story into return anyway".

All I'm saying DogofKrypton is that why come up with a story to get rid of the kid when they shouldn't have put him in the first place. It comes down to focusing too much on the kid and not on the major BASIC elements of superman.

No one is saying to make the ENTIRE film about the kid. But it HAS to be dealt with eventually, and I am giving a plausible way of doing it.

Yes but the story still has the kid in it though.

Actually, everything he said was correct.

All movies have sub-plots, I hope you realize that.
I think explode is saying he doesn't want Jason in a single scene of the sequel..which if the sequel gets made most likely won't happen..so your idea would be a good way of them to take Jason's part of the story if the sequel is made....IMO.

And I'm saying him hoping that is irrational at best. It is unfortunate, but he is there. So let's deal with him in a way where he doesn't HAVE to be there in a 3rd film.

What would supes have said at the end of the movie?
1) At least your hair is the right length to be a girl.
2) You know this means I have to throw out all of my G.I.Joes I was saving and go out and buy Barbies for you now, huh?
3) Just so you know...only guys that can beat me armwrestling can date you.
4) Never ever sleep with a guy just because he gives up his superpowers for you.

What can they do with the kid in the sequel?
1) Put him in the Phantom Zone.
2) Send him on a 5 year trip to Krypton to visit the grandparents.
3) Put him in the red sun chamber....and don't let him out.
4) Supes needs to start kissing everyone in Metropolis and wiping their memories of what happened the last 5 years.
5) Spinning the Earth backwards....it's not just for getting your girlfriend out of a hole in the ground

You're just trolling, so I'll disregard you now.
Once again, you've demonstrated the uncanny knack of disregarding everything in opposition to your blinkered existence as 'trolling'. I flat out disagreed with the idea of Jason losing his powers in the example you presented. I find that the idea of him losing his powers would not be a fix at all. He'd still be there with his silly movie kid hair, running around like movie kid, and getting trouble so Superman has to save him. That's not a fix, it's not progressing the story. It's akin to sweeping the situation under the rug.

I'm not afraid to voice those opinions, and I'm not afraid to offer alternatives. The alternative I presented, you smugly dismissed primarily as a consequence of what Spock would refer to as 'colourful metaphors'. What you failed to notice, is that I did actually back up my dismissals of other ideas, whereas you've chosen to stand on a high stool, and proclaim that you're the king of the castle and we're the dirty rascals.

If you'd just listen to the ideas expressed by others, instead of constanly scouring for proof that you're right all of the time, you'd be a lot better for it.

I agree

You speak as if I've had conversations with you previously. Fortunately for me, I know I haven't. Well, not this SN you're using now anyway.

And you "backed-up" what you said? No, no you didn't. And you most definitely DID NOT give any valid reasons as to why my idea isn't 100% plausible. Using kiddie-language does not a valid point make.

Here's a funny idea....why not discuss the topic without the personal attacks...from either of you?

Yes, let's not address the initial post that was meant to be inflammatory.

I think because I didn't write an elaborate "fan fic" detailing every last minute of how and why it would happen, it's gone over some heads. I proposed a way to "resolve" the Jason albatross. It would be up to a Hollywod screen-writer to come up with the details.

But it can and WOULD work.

And people say that I am too overly sensative to what people say on here. Dog....are you just going to spend all of your time here complaining about every single post made by someone who has a different opinion than yours...or try to have some decent conversations and debates with them?

Are you going to actually Mod, or complain about someone complaining? It goes both ways. Or is telling someone their idea "sucks ass" A-Ok?

And are you attempting to say what he said was "decent conversation"? Are you seriously implying that? Because I WAS having a decent conversation with others in here before the post I referenced.
