Superman Returns Who rescued Lois while Superman was away?

Lois always needs rescuing. Constantly. In the first movie/movies, Supes spends 50% of his time saving her.

And when Supes returns in Superman Returns, again, she needs saving almost every half an hour.

So how the hell did Lois survive the five years Superman was away?

So your saying Singer sucks because he has Supes saving Lois in his movie? Or is because she's managed to survive after 5 years "on her own". Using that logic, she should already have perished before Supes came to Metropolis, Lois was already a high profile reporter when he got there. You'd rather he didn't save Lois in Returns? Its okay if Donner does it but Singer can't? Am I to assume Donner sucks then too? What do think would happen if after 68 years Singer tossed aside the idea of Supes saving Lois? That in the story of Superman, Lois has to be saved by Superman in every story, while Superman left, she was left unattended, she should of been killed the next day. There's the flaw in Singer's vision. Lois always gets introuble and Superman is there to save her. Well he's gone for five years, she should be dead when Superman came back. IMO Singer's idea is flawed, because when Superman came back Lois right away needed saving, so she didn't need saving all those five years, just when the moment Superman/Clark came back the The Planet?
