What if JLU Beyond...

I was thinking about JLU in BB era and wondering... if when the founding members were to retire, who would they get to take there seat at the head table?

I was thinking that -

Batman - would retire from the league early over issues of how the near apokolypse of 09 is handled and get Green Arrow to take his seat, this would be the final straw that causes him and Dick to stop speaking to one another

Superman - would eventually take on the Manhunter, Mr Terrific roll of watchtower duty and give his seat to Dick

Wonderwoman - would be the only member to still be at the head table... what with the imortality and all

Flash - would go off into the speed force and Bart would take his seat

GL - would give his to Static

Hawgirl - Warhawk

MM - maybe raven... but not really sure, possibly even the new GL kid


also this could have elements of both Kingdom Come and Dark Knight returns... like GL and Hawkgirl could live in a New Owa type construct and GA could be missing an arm and have a mechanical one to replace it.


anyways, just a thought to kick around. What do you think?

I'd expect Hawkgirl to retire to raise her son with John.

I don't think it'd matter much. There were already a gajillion JLU members by the time the show was over.

I hope that Dini/Timm will do it, and continue the DCAU for abit longer.

i think it could clear up alot of things, like why dick and bruce dont talk anymore, how bruce and clark became distant

Dick would be too old to be Batman or Nightwing, he'd be in his late 50's, because Tim was 40 or so in Batman Beyond.

Yeah this would be well before Terry found the batsuit. I was sudgesting that purhaps as a result of some horrible call that superman made in dealing with the near apokolypse, he thought it would be best to step down as head of the league but not retire alltogether as he is clearly present and active during BB.


What ever the horrible mistake is, it would result in him and bruce never speaking again.

I just think it would give Bruce Timm a chance to clear up somethings that happen inbetween JLU and BB... you know...

i think the big six (excluding superman) would stay in as long as possible with perhaps aquaman or green arrow taking batman's place.

hawkgirl may step out, black canary would fill her place.

I'm not sure about who would replace the green latern. again probably aquaman.

the main reserves in that show were pretty clear...

aquaman, dr fate, black canary, green arrow, the question, maybe even vixen

these will be the immediate be the back up to any major changes to the jlu big seven, however in what order is beyond me.
