I can see Will Smith and Jaden Smith being cast as Shazam and Billy Batson. How would people feel about that?
I can get behind it, Will Smith doesn't look like Shazam, but that's a superhero role that I can totally see him in. He'd need to get really bulked up though to convincingly fight The Rock onscreen

It's not the way I would go, it's just a scenario I wouldn't mind. There aren't a lot of big name actors that I can really see in this role

this casting is a bit uninspired. the rock's acting does not come across as natural - it seems very textbook and forced. affleck was inspired...as was cavill. but this, imho, is stunt/visual casting.

yous should watch Pain & Gain. it's Bay movie but actually it's pretty good and The Rock was the best part of it.

WB wouldn't risk having Will Smith be the star of one of its unknown franchises? What? This man pulled After Earth to 243m worldwide despite it being a terrible movie. I think they'd take Will Smith any way they can get him.

And while this film being produced by New Line may have people thinking it won't have ties to the other films and have little involvement from WB themselves, it most certainly will. And with Manganiello being someone theyve serious considered in the past, but was never able to get, I could see them nabbing him now.

No Shazam. No Black Adam, you're insane if you think they'd have Adam and not Shazam. Also, I strongly disagree with your opinion on Shazam, he's a friggin amazing character that most people never even give a chance or take a second look at.

Best bet for that is a Black Adam spinoff after the inevitable Captain Marvel feature.

I like Shazam... but I'm starting to think that maybe this first movie is about the story of Black Adam in the ancient Egypt. And to have a cameo of Billy Batson and then the second one talking about Billy and Shazam. Althought it's pretty unlikely.
