Because I'm apparently a troll for making a few minor criticisms about the CGI, I figured I'd better make a topic that exudes positivity. In this thread we express aspects of this movie which causes us to quiver with excitement. Here is what I think:

- I like that the Hulk is 9 feet tall, a height I've been rooting for all along

- The Abomination is the bad guy

- Great Cast

- The fights between Hulk and Abomination should be amazing

- The Hulk and the Abomination will talk! And Hulk will be voiced by Lou Ferrigno

- While I have misgivings about the CGI (OMG Troll!) I do like the way the models have weight. In the trailer I could practically feel the Hulk and Abomb running.

Alright, now you go.

the fights man the freakin fights will be epic.

-Edward Norton

-The Hulk looks much, much better than 2003's.

- Hulk is my second favorite character in the MU

- Edward Norton

- the fights!

- the beautiful Liv Tyler

- the fights!

- Tim Roth always makes a great villain

- did I mention the fights?

- oh and it's friggen MARVEL!! Gotta support Marvel.

-The CGI for the Hulk is pretty good
-The Hulk really looks like, well The Hulk
-Norton playing Banner
-The Abomination
-The fact that the movie will have sufficient action
-The fact that the Abomination will talk
-The movie looks good
-The story sounds better
-The movie feeling epic
-Liv Tyler (from an eye candy perspective)

the fact that we wont have a soap opera for a hulk movie.

-Edward Norton.

-William Hurt.

-Tim Roth.

-The action.

I am excited to see how poor it will perform. The anticipation is delicious.

Just another hulk hater who'll be sent crying when TIH blows everyone outta the water :woot:.

Pretty much all of the above... everything you guys have said. But particularly? The idea that it's going to be a great love story, with the Hulk as a defender and hero, and the more abstract theme of controlling one's demons. The Hulk, to me, has infinitely more subtance to him than any other major comic book character. It doesn't get any more complex than a scientist on the run who has the ability to reversibly turn into a huge green monster when pressed... and yet wishes to rid himself of the monster. I mean, it's Frankenstein or Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde as we've heard all along... the original horror story that even our grandparents grew up with. If you can't get excited about that, then you're either impotent or a robot.

The cast is pretty much what made me excited for this movie. And although I liked the trailer, I got a pretty generic vibe from it, so my biggest fear is that this movie will turn out nothing more than generic...

I'm excited because there's tons of more action this time along with incredible actors, the Hulk has facial features from the Sal Buscema era. And for once a comic book villain is introduced. Another great aspect is that the Hulk is no longer excessively tall.

1) I'm excited because the film makers have openly acknowledged that the 2003 film was a mistake, and they have corrected that mistake with this one.

2) The cast, and passion that they all seem to have is really refreshing.

3) I'm willing to look past less than stella cgi, if the story is good.

But the question isn't what your fears are or what made you excited. It's what is making you excited - i.e., what you're still excited about, in spite of any fears. Now that you understand the question, are you going to add anything to the discussion or are you just trolling around as usual?

whats getting me excited:
a) previous mistakes are being fixed
b) hulk looking like the comic book hulk true and true
c) ed norton as banner, much better choice.
d) the abomination
e) hulk fighting the abomination
f) we see hulk 3 mins into the movie!!!
g) action, action, action!

as a hulk fan of 29 years, i really think this movie will make me and every other hulk fan happy. i hope we see some great hulk stuff spawn from this movie. a new animated series is in the works, but cant see it happen if this bombs. also would love to see this turn into a franchise and get to see grey hulk and smart hulk, plus a she hulk movie could be a reality. im serious counting down the days till the 12th of june. i will be seeing it as much as i can in the cinemas!!

It feels SO good to read posts like this... There's been way too much negativity on the board here and though it won't be perfect it will address things about the character that everyone loves!

1. I'm glad MARVEL admits to their mistakes
2. I'm glad MARVEL is trying to make all the HULK fans happier with this movie even though the first one was good.
3. The design is superior even though Dale Keown is the greatest HULK artist to ever live!
4. The CGI is superior even though (gasp) it isn't ILM doing it.
5. Thank the Lord that HULK remains 1 size and 1 color!

The cast and the effects are a big part of it, but in all honesty, the reason I'm most excited...it's the freakin Hulk!

I'm not trolling around, dude.

I already said that the cast made me excited for The Incredible Hulk. I just added that I hope that it won't be generic. Calm down, dude! ;)

Listen, the guy said one thing. There are moderators here, we will decide who is trolling and who isn't. The Hulk Boards isn't only for only lemmings who will praise the movie, we can have other view points right? Not calling you a lemming, but my point should be clear.

Right.
