What is the worst story you've read?

Like, actually the worst comic book story? Probably some low budget ****** indie book made by an amateur artist. Worst story from one of the big two that had a wide release and a huge impact on the world of super hero comics in general? Johns' Green Lantern comes to mind, that **** is just bad.

That I've recently read? The Crisis Times Five JLA arc by Morrison. Just flat out vapid storytelling. Triumph was annoying and that little kid who cursed up a storm every panel he was in. It was cool to see the JSA come back, but that was about it.

For the old DC, Countdown is the worst thing they ever did. It just fails in every category, from overall story to individual issues to characterization to art, it just does nothing right. amazon's attack is a close second.

I could list a lot from the new 52, like Johns Justice League or Court of Owls (which I found to be the most boring batman I've tried to read) but one single book has eclipsed it all. Justice League 3000 #1 is officially the worst single issue of a comic I have ever read, from any company. The team that wrote the best JL era ever (Giffen/DeMatteis's JL America/Europe is just great) have now written the worst JL comic I've ever read, and like I said its also the worst single issue I've read. It sucks to say that because I like the team, but its just a horrible comic.

That one with the Imperiex war. I think it was called Our Worlds At War or something like that. I bought it in graphic novel format a few years back and it was just horrid. Imperiex is probably the most generic, most boring, villain in all of DC Comics.

Agree with you there. Our World's at War was horrible.
