This is in Marvel why?
Well I was going to post it in Mis.or Comic films but I noticed this thread get's the most exposher.I thought it be fun.Plus I'm mainly a Marvel fan so I was more interested in Marvel replies but I thought all would be funny.Dc etc..Whatever.These Threads always bleed over anyway.I didn't want someone to say ."Oh I got one but that'a DC".

The misc. would get more traffic if threads relevant to that sub-forum were actually posted there ;)

Is this just for the leading role because some of the earlier Batman films had stinkers as the supporting characters/antagonists? ie, Freeze, Bane, Robin, Ivy... yeah, pretty much anyone in Batman and Robin :o

Oh, and how could I forget Two-Face from Batman Forever? Sweet Jesus that was a mockery.

I'll say Elektra for now, but I may think of a more worthy character in time.

Elektra had moments so I won't say it's the worst. I'm going to have to go with Steele. I couldn't even watch that crap at all!

by worst adaptation we must talk about a film version of a character that bears no or the least resemblence to their comic book counterpart

psylocke comes to mind as probably the worst 'good guy' rendition. he lacked the character or the power or even the correct nationality (she's british in a ninja's body) and wasn't even on the right side.

blackheart got a crap shift as well i think.

mr freeze i could say was a given but apart from the puns, he was given a decent backstory and still had the same motivations

i could also go with carrey's riddler who was a lil too jokeresque but that's how he was in the tv show so...

yeah it's psylocke, her character is just too far removed from her comic book counterpart.

People are gonna give me sh** for this but I think Rogue in the X-Men movies got royally screwed by not getting her powers from Ms. Marvel in any of the 3 movies. She was nothing like her character to me.

And Sabretoothe in X-1 was a dumb brute b**** henchman for Magneto, I hated that.

i think rogue actually works better without ms marvel's powers or can work well without them.

they did a good job of that in evolution but i guess for the films she was a rogue/jubilee/pryde hybrid

Off the top of my head I can think of Steel, Catwoman, Generation X MFTV movie, Batman & Robin, and Elektra. Fantastic Four's failed movie and the awful Justice League pilot deserve mention as well. Man-Thing is one heck of a film too :down

No not just leading roles anyone that you would consider to be a horrible transition to film.If you gys could post pictures it would be histerical.

In terms of look... Juggernaut was particulary preposterous. So were just about all of the Morlock'ish characters in X3. Green Goblin was a HUGE let-down.

In terms of characterization... I hated Devito's animalistic savage Penguin, Doom was a horrenderous failure, Sabertooth... was that really supposed to be Sabertooth??? Sheesh.

What about this????

As opposed to this???

The all black T.V. Daredevil still makes me Nauscious!!!

can catwoman really count since she wasn't really adapted, rather more created?

the more i think about it, the more the idea of movie doom pisses me off...

Maybe she worked for the films but she was far from the comic character as possible.

He's not the single worst, but the giant dump that they took on Doctor Doom is simple inexcusable.
