The 60's.

When there was a revolutionary or LSD enthusiast around every corner. If only they had the cool movies, video games, and internet we have now. It would've been perfect.

Seinfield, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond...uhhh...some Nickalodean stuff, Freaks and Geeks (cult classic)

Please....some of you haven't even smelled yourself yet, and now someone's curious about the 1 decade you didn't spend any time in w/ a full diaper:whatever: .

All you need to know is The 80's kicked glorius ASS!!

The decade of Karma Chameleon, Billy Jean, Uptown Girl, Sweet Dreams Are Made Of These.

The decade of Knight Rider, Airwolf, Street Hawk, Transformers G1, GI Joe, Star Wars, Star Wars, and more Star Wars.

Yeah.

awww you left out your cousin Count Duckula:cmad: :woot:

If anything, the 60s had the coolest movies of any decade.

but if we had all the movies we have access to now we would have not only the movies from the 60's but all the movies from the later decades as well. :cwink:

The '90s cuz that's when I grew up...mostly.

If I could change which decade I was born in, it'd be somewhere in the '80s cuz that's when the Ninja Turtles came out and my favorite horror movie trilogy started. Plus, there was other things like the Toxic Avenger, but I won't go into too much detail.

1980's- I was a kid everything was paid for and life was simple.

Plus music/comics/sport was all great and exciting then.
Only downside of my situation was of course being a child, you could not really experience/appreciate the best of what the decade had to offer.

Whoa.. when did 80's make a come back?? Sweeet.

Sixties for the cultural revolution, but I loved the Nineties too.

Oh well, I went for the Sixties. The Beatles and The Stones in one decade? **** yeah.

either 1960's=music wise

or 1980's= super mario wise

also 1990's= tv wise

loved freakazoid

90's all the way. Music was at it's best in the 90's.

I think music was at it's best in the '60s (The Beatles, The Stones, Dylan, The Who, The Doors) and '90s (Oasis, Nirvana, Blur, Radiohead, The Verve), with the '70s (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple) up there as well. In my opinion, it was the '80s that were comparatively ****ty and this decade which, aside from some exceptions, is a disaster.

1960's onward. My one dream to see Elvis live come true, I would get to see Bowie in the 70's and of course films: STAR WARS. 1980's was good for cheesy music: Def Leppard, STAN BUSH and I would have been able to see Transformers the Movie on the cinema.

And of course 80's equal rise of Mario and the domination of Nintendo.

Out of the bands you've posted there, only the 60s are coming across as any good. the 70s, of course, being the worst

Well music, has to be the late 60's and early 70's.

As for films, some major advances were happening in the sixties, so definately an interesting period.

As for sport, well 1966, say no more!

Science, the moon landing....c'mon, the decade had everything.

I picked the 80's mostly because of the music and the movies (BTTF, Ghost Busters, IJ...)

but the '00s are shaping up to be pretty great (Spider-Man, FF, Daredevil...)

Well, I'm a 70's child, but to me the best time was actually the 1990s--especially when Clinton was in office.

The new millenium brought Bush and so far it has been the utter SUCK ever since. :down

it really amazes me how much people idealize the past as this thing that was so much better than what we have now, yet fail to realize that it's all cyclical, and also, that as much as any decade had really great stuff, there's also horrid stuff that came out back then

you can't say "oh yeah, the best decade was the 80's" or "the best music came from the 60's" or "the 90's had the better ___________"

every decade, every year brings good and bad stuff

I rather live in the present, because I have the added benefit of relieving the past anytime I want

not to mention that the best thing about the past is that it's already done for, it's not here anymore, but we can learn from it

don't dwell on something that is gone, learn from that and build a better future
