What is your usual train of thought in this type of scenario?

Train of Thought

  • Sports Authority; because it is cheaper

  • Modells; the money used on gas/bus ticket voids out the "cheapness" of Sports Authority

  • Modells for other reasons

Man, I'd never play tennis in Gotham. Joker be &^%$ing up my *&$£.

I have 3 more months before my annual SN Giveaway...I will shock and awe with my genius.

And I knew you'd go negative impact on me.

And the deals in Star City are good, however, they go by fast.

You want to buy tennis balls and you live in Gotham or something.

Modells in Gotham has a bag of 10 for like 10 bucks.

Sports Authority in Metropolis (4 miles away) has a can of 3 balls for 2 bucks each (can).

So, 3 cans totaling in 9 balls = 9 bucks.

9 balls for 9 bucks.

Where do you buy the balls at?

it may be because it's past midnight over here and I'm half asleep but I'm not getting it. If a can of balls (3 balls) cost $2 each then wouldn't 3 cans of balls cost a total of $6 instead of $9? or am I missing something there?

Again, no one caught that until like 20 posts in.

But you are correct long story short.

I just love how everyone who has pointed it out so far claims they are mistaken or hasn't noticed it at all.

either people are REALLY bad at math or they just didn't want to look like a fool in case they were wrong...

oh and as for the last part...yes, I didn't want to look like a fool just in case I was wrong which is why I added the whole "maybe it's because I'm half asleep" bit. I will admit that. :o

You wouldn't be the first with that kinda disclaimer.

I think everyone is like that. nobody wants to be seen as a fool

Yeah. I just saw the thread and was wondering about that.
I would buy in Gotham. It doesn't make sense to waste gas going to another city for something so simple.

I would not say everybody...but that is a whole 'notha topic.

I wouldn't have to go anywhere to get the balls and I wouldn't have to pay money for them either. I'd just smile nicely at the right guy and he'd offer his balls to me ;)

Umm...your math is off...

Gotham 10 balls = 10 bucks

Metropolis 3 cans = 9 balls = $2/can = 9 balls for $6.

now noticing MW also mentioned this...I too would stay in Gotham.
