In Hogan's defense, him and Savage were best friends (before Elizabeth filed for divorced) and he got Savage hired in WCW. The Macho Man also gave Hogan the best workrate match of his career at Wrestlemania V so its only fitting The Hulkster inducts him.

Not going to lie, I'm a huge fan of the no blading thing in the 'E. I never felt it was necessary at whatsoever.

Cena Vs. Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012 disagrees with you. Orton Vs. Helmsley and Hart Vs. McMahon at Wrestlemanias were also very disappointing because of the lack of it in order to help convey the emotion that the in-ring story required.

Ugh, I wish he's stop talking up a match against Lesnar at Wrestlemania. He's building my hopes up for them to be inevitably crushed when Reigns wins the Rumble.

I enjoyed this weeks NXT, Renee was magnificent!

As for the wrestling, quality matches at either end of the show with Balor vs Kidd and Zayn vs Neville, with a decent Divas tag in between that keeps Sasha in the title hunt. I don't understand the booking of the Corbin vs Bull match, that should have been a double DQ not a clean win for Corbin.

Given the clean outcome of Zayn vs Neville I'm not surprised at the title match for the next live special, I'd say they are phasing Neville out before his move to the main roster.

Seth Rollins is your guy WWE, not Reigns. Reigns isn't THAT much bigger than Rollins and Rollins is more cut. Rollins is getting better on the mic each week. he's great in the ring which appeals to hardcores, he's pretty enough to appeal to women, and kids like high energy wrestlers with cool spots. Rollins is more commercial than my boy Ambrose I'll admit that.

Man I'm still thinking about what Bryan says he wants to do with Smackdown and if we had a hard brand split, These guys would probably be my primaries for a while:

The top 6 - Bryan, Ziggler, Rollins, Ambrose, Wyatt, Orton

Midcard 6 - Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, Finn Balor, Hideo Itami, Tyson Kidd, Cesaro

Tag Team 6 - Lucha Dragons, Blake/Murphy, The Mechanics, The Usos, Dustblowers, Vaudevillains

Diva 6 - Paige, Emma, Charlotte, Sasha, Becky and Bayley

The good thing about something like this is I wouldn't have to make them all wrestle every night, I can have some wrestle and the others in vignettes to develop their characters on each part of the card.

He didn't exactly innovate this line of thinking but I tend to think back to Chris Kreski's handling of the WWF Product from Russo's departure all the way to about October of 2000. Where some nights, we saw Edge/Christian, Hardys, Dudleys etc wrestle while the Holly cousins, The APA, T &A etc had skits and vignettes to develop their personas or vice versa without anything getting lost in the shuffle...Just as an example

Yeah I never got that myself. I mean what he was doing clearly worked since Ratings and PPV Buys were EVEN HIGHER than when Russo was in charge from late 97-99. Maybe if they had a guy like him running creative again, business would be better than it is.

Sadly despite that, Vince still felt the need to put Stephanie in his position and phase him out. Luckily for him at the time, he managed to get a lucrative gig at MTV.

As much as Russo likes to overrate himself, Kreski was everything he thinks he is as a writer. Proven when Russo went and flopped at WCW while Kreski was just hitting on several cylinders with the WWF product.

Truth. I want Bryan vs Lesnar, and then a Bryan vs Rollins lengthy feud for the title. Reigns (my boy) is best served being the one to dethrone Rusev currently. I'd then have him feud with Shamo, Cesaro, Barrett and Goldust (i.e skilled workers that can help him along the way) for that US belt. Then when 32 comes it can be Reigns vs Rollins, or Bryan, or whomever might be the champ and hottest act at that time. As for Ziggler, I'd have him in that main event scene with Bryan, Cena, Orton, Rollins etc. Maybe have him get side tracked with a blood feud with Rusev

We noted last night that a WWE NXT Title match and a NXT Women's Title match was confirmed for the next NXT Takeover special on February 11th. Finn Balor vs. Adrian Neville will also take place. Below is the updated card:

While this would certainly make for a crazy awesome Smackdown product, Raw would be absolutely unwatchable if that's the case. If they do a hard brand split, I'd hope that they at least try and even out the ring talent of the roster. Here's how I'd shake it out - I went to 8 "midcarders" that would include singles guys a bit lower down the card too:

I hope the Royal Rumble isn't weighed down by too many joke or guest entrants (El Torito, JBL, etc). A few big surprises can be fun, but it was insulting last year when it had Torito, JBL, King (I think), and Diesel, but no Daniel Bryan.

Promoting SmackDown moving to Thursday nights, Daniel Bryan spoke to Joshua Stewart of NewsDay.com. During the interview, Bryan reveals that he was originally not scheduled to compete in the main event of WrestleMania 30. Rather, he was supposed to face Sheamus in the fifth or sixth match on the card.

"I can tell you 100 percent for a fact that I was not supposed to be in the main event at WrestleMania 30," Bryan said. "That is one of the coolest things about WWE and wrestling in general. The fans have this very unique voice, and this very unique power, and in no other sport and no other form of entertainment can the fans make their voices heard and it affect change."
