Smackdown drew a unique Twitter audience of 1.290 million, more than doubling the final Friday show. Nielsen only recorded one episode in 2014 that drew more than 1.0 million.

The score also topped the first Raw of 2015, which drew a unique audience of 1.234 million on January 5.

-- January 9: The final Friday night edition of Smackdown drew a unique Twitter audience of 541,000 and total impressions of 1.588 million.

The scores were in-line with the 2014 average. The overall result placed Smackdown #3 among series & specials on Friday night.

This week's Smackdown's total impressions were 3.469 million, also more than doubling the final Friday night show. The total result was good for #2 among series & specials on Thursday night, trailing the "The Critic's Choice Movie Awards" on A&E.

So at least with Twitter ratings, moving Smackdown to Thursdays and making Bryan the selling point seems to have made an immediate impact.

Last night's episode of WWE SmackDown on its new night averaged 2.675 million viewers. Viewership was up 10% from last week's episode on Friday night, which averaged 2.432 million viewers.

SmackDown was also the number one show on cable last night.

Ok so a slight increase in actual viewership and a good starting point for all this. Now if only they can build on this more with booking and a set of entertaining supporting players.

Eh, they've only got an uphill battle going forward, because once all regular programming starts back with their new shows, there's a very good chance it will drop fast.

Surprised to see End of Days performed on Bull Dempsey. Looks like a move that would be difficult to perfom on bigger guys.

Wow. Stone Cold is on AXS in an interview with one of their commentators, "The Voice" Schiavello, and he's going off on the scripts right now. I'm paraphrasing here, but he said, "I'm a promo guy. Feel is much better than a bunch of garbage. If I don't feel what the **** you're saying I ain't gon' buy no ticket. You can spread a bunch of ********, but I ain't gon' buy it until I feel it. That's what Stone Cold was able to do. CM Punk, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes...I can go on and on. Don't hand those muther ****ers a script."

So, possible Acolytes reunion on Raw this Monday. Anyone hoping they'll put over The Ascension? Or worried that they'll bury them even more?

- Word is that some of the WWE writers feel they are once again being left in the dark on certain parts of the booking. Triple H and Vince McMahon have been meeting a lot with just the two of them to discuss creative.

- JBL was reportedly given a directive via headset on the January 5th RAW, to bury The Ascension when their in-ring promo died badly. Apparently this has continued but it doesn’t mean officials are done with The Ascension just yet.

It's been 20 years. That guy from Atlas Security should cut the ****ing mullet off already.

KEVIN NASH ADDED BACK TO MONDAY’S RAW REUNION

WWE announced on Friday afternoon that Kevin Nash is once again scheduled to appear on Monday’s star-studded RAW Reunion show from Dallas, Texas.
Nash will be joined his fellow nWo founders Hulk Hogan and Scott Hall, along with Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels.
Other legends now advertised include Jimmy Hart, Billy Gunn and Ron Simmons.

That's cool. I'm more excited to see Hall though.

Anyone watching NJPW on AXS TV?
Don't have AXS, or I would.

Impact this week was on par with last week. Only exciting thing was Kong's appearance once again. Otherwise, it was background noise like RAW has been the last few weeks.

I get Destination America which has Impact but no AXS TV which has NJPW :(

Sadly I don't have AXS TV or Destination Americs. I know of alternatives though...

Smackdown was a solid show this week, Renee really suits the new shorter hairstyle. :hrt:

The opening and closing segments cemented Bryan's return, he's still mega over, they are already giving him a proper angle and in the ring he hasn't missed a beat, looked as good as ever.

The standout segment of the show though was the Heyman and Rollins showdown, that was the best mic work that I've seen in 18 months, both were fantastic and the whole thing had a great mix of tension and intrigue.

Nattie vs Nikki was too short but ok, Sin Cara dead-lift bombing Barrett was the highlight of the IC title match, and Naomi's body vs her new outfit was the highlight of the mixed tag.

So if both the face and heel commentators are bashing them, what does that make the Ascension? The next 3MB?

Anybody think it would be cool if somehow after the next NXT event they should build up their next title match to be at WM? Think about it if they put a NXT match on WM it would probably be one of the best matches on the show. However Vince might not want that he's already mad about NXT already outshining WWE's main Roster product.
