What love interests will Bruce Wayne/Batman have in the reboot?

Not for the first few movies but eventually I think that Jezzabelle Jett and the Black Glove could work. Right now they'd probably be viewsed too much like Talia and the League of Shadows.

Ugh, no. There is no way the audience wouldn't be laughing their asses off at the idea that they should take Jezebelle Jet seriously. Unless you really want the audience to believe Batman is a complete incompetent who can't spot a person who is practically holding up an "I AM AN EVIL FEMME FATALE!" neon sign above her head. . .

I'd actually the skip the whole love interest thing for the first one. Instead I'd prefer we see him working with a female cop who really doesn't trust him like Sarah Essen or even Ellen Yindell/Yin. I'd also like to see Leslie Thompkins as a sort of mother figuare , which is something we haven't seen before in live action.

Substitute the love interest for a mother figure? Interesting.

Have him with random floosies, while the real female protagonist is a mother figures in the form of Leslie Thompkins.

Sort of like Bond and M in Skyfall.

I'll have to re-read the story but I thought that after Batman got it together and confronted her,he told her he knew the truth about her from the beginning and that he was only playing along in order to help take down the entire organization. That would be signifigantly different than not knowing Miranda Tate was actually Ra's Al Ghul's daughter.

Anyways, while not a love interest,I'd love to see Lady Shiva show up down the line.

I'd be surprised if she wasn't presented as such at some point.

Agreed. Speaking of love interests she could be one for Alfred like she's been in some comics.

I would like that. She's supposed to be a surrogate mother to Bruce, while Alfred is the father.

I think you could have Selina Kyle as an ongoing, evolving love interest throughout the series. I'm also a fan of Silver St. Cloud.

We really didn't get enough Selina Kyle this time around, so my pick would be her. Besides, she has the most chemistry with Bruce in the movies or even on TV.

Before seeing Bruce/Selina yet again, I'd much rather prefer seeing characters we havent seen onscreen yet, like Silver St. Cloud, or they could actually do a good version of Talia onscreen.

Skip the love interest entirely. Why does every film need one? WHY! Especially when it's just thrown in with no purpose. For once I would like to see a movie just make a good movie without a checklist.

I'm partial to Zatanna. It doesn't have to be the most serious thing in the world, just playful and fun.

I agree. I think if they do have a love interest it should be one of the driving narratives to the story such as in Mask of the Phantasm , or using a Bond example ,Casino Royale or On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Or a son figure in the form of Robin. I wouldn't mind that, then just have the odd random flirtation with Catwoman every now and then.

What a shame Hayley Atwell had such a pointless role in Captain America. She would have made an amazing Selina. I just saw her in 'The Sweeney' and she was amazing (although it was ackward seeing her with Ray Winstone)

I think it would be cool to see Talia have a small role in one film as someone Bruce saves as Batman, she wouldn't have much time with him but would make an impression. Then she would be reintroduced in a later film and be revealed as the daughter of Ra's.

Talia and Catwoman deserve more screen time. I'd like to see a proper rendition of Poison Ivy in a small role ala TLH

i was hoping bruce and babs would be together but it looks like hes gonna be with selina and babs wi be with that kid ricky

o i thought u meant in the new 52 but id stil love to ee babs rockin the cape n cowl in the new movies

I've always wanted to see Selina as an ongoing love interest, evolving into Catwoman.

THIS. I was just about to post the exact same thing. I've always wanted to see this.

Bruce and Selina are dating but it's not something that either are taking very seriously. Selina is too focused on her animal activism, Bruce of course being too distracted by his activities as Batman. Bruce is very intrigued by Selina, Selina thinks Bruce is a really nice guy, but they both have their walls up and won't let each other in.

Come to find out Selina is doing a private investigation into the mob and gets attacked and kidnapped or something. Batman comes to her rescue, she's intrigued by him, and it inspires her to become Catwoman. One of the very last scenes of the movie could her holding up a clawed glove or something.

Doesn't have to be exactly that or even anything like it, I was just shooting out a possible way to do it. But seeing a Selina Kyle side-arc that progresses into her becoming Catwoman, all the while having this connection to Bruce would be amazing.

Plus it would be a way to leave it open for other love interests to come in without having a yes or no answer about if Bruce and Selina will end up together so it has that Shakespearean tragic love story that they have in the comics. That being if this is an on-going series and not another trilogy, which I hope it is. I'm getting tired of the trilogy thing. Too many people are doing it.

I was thinking Catwoman as the "steady night relationship," but still including the adversarial side at full blast. Maybe show Bruce smiling very briefly when he figures out that he can chase her tonight because it's quiet, have her character embrace the adrenaline junkie aspect while still clearly trying very hard to get away, and have her demonstrate that she is good enough to escape him, but that he knows who she is. Have a personal repartee with a clear undertone of an emotional relationship, and maybe even establish that he occasionally employs her for jobs.

Throw in a scene where they meet at a ball, with the gag being that she has Bruce as her mark and he's using it as an excuse to keep her from picking people's pockets, and throw in a few lines that imply she might realize he's Batman but absolutely refuses to acknowledge that fact because that would seem like "commitment" on her part.

And use her as a control for whatever emotional changes Batman goes through. So if he's actually kind of light hearted at the start of a Killing Joke or Death in the Family storyline, we then get to see the effect it has on him at the end when he's brusque, angry and sad, and she shows her own connection to him by vocally showing him sympathy and maybe returning her ill gotten gains of the night as an apology.
