LOL
I mean wow.
I don't think WWE will die but way to be defensive Venom bro.![]()
That kind of reaction is ingrained in time-tested wrestling fans. It seems that every time some negative event unfolds in the wrestling business, it's detractors want to pronounce it's imminent demise. Ironically, it's often ex-fans who, unlike other shows, decide to crusade against it once they have lost interest.
As I mentioned before, I see a very strong parallels between comic books and pro wrestling. Not only do they feature similar character types and story arcs, they are also embattled forms of entertainment. The death of comics has been trumpted with the advents of cable TV, VHS tapes, video games, and computers. Likewise, wrestling has had to fight battles from within to survive: the early 90s steroid scandal, the death of Owen Hart, the folding of WCW & ECW and the mass exodus of main event talent during the first half of this decade. Each time, fans of comics and wrestling have to defend their interest in a form of entertainment that others insist will become a thing of the past. Often, we even have to endure ugly personal attacks for our fandom. So maybe our skin wears a little thin over time.
