It's not stupidity or hypocrisy which is the correct way of spelling hypocritisy.
I read hypocritisy and don't laugh, I just smile.
Wolverine doesn't kill his wife and kid.
You don't see the UFC fighters pretending to beat up wome

Spiderman movies:
* Green Goblin Terrorized Aunt May, sending her to the hospital
* Goblin dropped a cable car of kids and Mary Jane to potential deaths
*Spiderman refuses to surrender to police, cheats on his girlfriend, makes hip thrusting gentures to women and beats up bouncers in a bar.
*Doc Ock kidnaps Mary Jane ( saying he'll peel her skin) and tries to
kill Aunt May. He kills several people, including women, during the movie
but acts in a heroic fashion in the end.
Batman movies:
* Batman sleeps with Vickie Vale while never intending to have a relationship with her, inflicts violence on the morally ambiguous Catwoman, swims in hotel fountain with two women and is suggested that he will leave with both of them
*Penguin gropes an unexpecting campaign supporter, makes constant sexual references and attempts to kill Catwoman and all of Gotham's children.
* Joker cheats with Carl Grissom's girlfriend, kills a restaurant full of people and poisons Gotham with toxic chemicals.
* Two-Face cavorts with two women, tries to kill Chase Meridian and kills the Graysons.
*Poison Ivy attempts to kill Mr. Freeze's wife, seduces men through chemical means and is guarded by the strength-enhanced Bane. ( Also noteworthy is that Batman uses the fictional steriod, Venom, in the comics).
X-Men movies:
*
Wolverine awakens from a dream and nearly kills Rogue by stabbing her in the chest. She then nearly kills him by attempting to heal herself. Wolverine also attempts to break-up Jean and Cyclops and eventually kills Jean/Phoenix. He also kills Lady Deathstrike, shown to be under the control of Striker.
*Magneto tries to kill Rogue, only a girl at the time, tries to kill every non-mutant on the planet, and abandons Mystique, naked on the floor at the time, once she is of no use to him.

I'm not going to go into more examples from X-men because they are far too plentiful. The point I want to make is that these are examples from the mass marketed movies from the most mainstream of comic book mythos. They feature every sort of aberrant behavior ,sometimes even by the heros, and they are marketed toward kids. I find it impossible for any comic book fan to look at pro wrestling in a "morally corrupt" light when the themes of comics are even more mature.
